You don't have to worry about the State one!
Just keep raking in the Private one that I'm grafting away to keep you in your Luxury lifestyle. (But be sure to leave some for me though - Desperately hoping there's a few Cold snaps to make sure there's some left for me when I go!)

| Thought Hampshire had a good game last night and was one of our better players.
He seemed to get some rough treatment above and beyond the norm (particularly high shots) but handled himself well. Made me wonder if he isn't well liked in the Wigan camp though!?
Dorn will be out for a while yet so he is going to have the opportunity to really stake a claim for our full back spot for the rest of the season. The sooner he realises this is his best position (at the moment) the better.

| In some ways, I expected Hampshire to be massive for Cas last night, but while I didn't think he did anything especially wrong, he wasn't outstanding.
Some of the guff that Yorkshire lad was posting on here earlier in the week would have us believe that Wigan treated him like doodah and some kind of awesome retaliation would happen last night.
But, for whatever reason, it didn't.
Despite that. I still hope we keep him.

We did go for him but I think it was all friendly competitiveness amongst mates rather then a genuine dislike.
He was solid as a rock last night. Good to see.

Agree, he took all the high balls, defended reasonably well and ran the ball back hard. The thing I don't understand is the way he is being used. Last night he was being pushed out wide and Wigans sliding defence dealt with it comfortably. I think he would have caused us a lot more problems supporting in and around the play the ball area where his speed and footwork would have been difficult to defend against especially as the bigger forwards tired.

| last night was a direct comparison to the 2 players in Wigan who have played at 1 this year.
Sarge was a shout for MoM, and Tierney also had an excellent game on the wing.
Rocky was solid but didnt really add anything special, and was 3rd best of those 3.
On that basis, he is better off getting game time at Cas and trying to build on his confidence.

Well it's snowing again here today ! Summer rugby ? Not sure when that will start .
Unfortunately the small pension I do receive will not fund all day cross pennine coach outings ! I do possess a navigational aid that will work in the aforementioned vehicles , this can be loaned out for a small fee !
As an aside SW mentioned coach trips in his Wakefield post game interview , any connection ?

| Hampshire was steady notthing more certainly not the game changer some people were expecting indeed i'd say Sarge more than matched him frankly.

| They'd rather play a fat, slow hooker at half than Hampshire. Says it all for him I'm afraid.

Still made a fool of Salford last week and was playing well until he went off this evening (potential injury). Just shows how petty you are having to insult other teams players.

Maybe it says a lot about our coaches who can't and won't accept anything that doesn't conform 100% of the time to predetermined game plans.
Coaches think they can plan everything to the nth degree when this flies in the face of common sense.
It's just another version of having 4 props on the bench and a ridiculous number interchanges that adds nothing to the game but encouraging coaches to be conservative in their approach to games.
If I was Hamphshire I'd look to get out of Cas and start to look for a new club which may entail a different code.

| Maybe he just needed resting who knows?
But that he was playing at fullback speaks volumes for me,clearly Powel doesnt see him as a half back, wigan dont seem to see him as a fullback somethings wrong somewhere..it cant all be with the coaching.
