When you say retaliation i assume you mean standing up and fighting ?
What i mean is, next time he has the ball im going to put a big hit in. Revenge does not have to cross the line.

Why should players have to put up with potentially career threatening illegal chicken wing tackles without a murmur, then only have a legal tackle as their response?
Lima's tactics were sneaky and dangerous. He admitted his guilt and hopefully he's learned his lesson, or he'll cop bigger bans later in the year. End of story.

That maybe the case if done intentionally, but no one on this thread has yet to come up with a valid answer as to why the referee didn't take action on the day.
Have we suddenly developed a bunch of ref's who have the Arsene Wenger syndrome?

What would you rather see though, Wilkin moaning to the ref or Wilkin putting Lima on his booty ala Anderson on Tickle style.

It's doesn't have to but it frequently does, we have penalties for a reason.

You have missed the one positive side to all this, which is that Lima has considered the evidence against him and , along with the club, has pleasded guilty.
He obviously beleives that he did smething wrong and has thrown his hands up.'"
Or he realises that he plays for Wigan so any appeal would simply result in a longer ban.

| Quote: SaintsFan "Now this is what I'd call a real man's approach. In fact, I think the whole matter has been dealt with by men, rather than some of the immature idiots posting on this forum. Wilkin was man enough to go through the proper channels to protect other players, fully aware that he was likely to get stick for doing it. The men at the RFL were man enough to examine the evidence and upon seeing it charge and find Lima guilty of the offences, warning him that it would be worse for him next time around. Lima was man enough to admit to those offences and the Wigan coach man enough to allow due process rather than do a Leeds coach and try to get his player off. That's how all these processes should be dealt with. I'm all for a bit of biff and I enjoy the physicality of rugby league, but that is all open and above-board. Chicken wing tackles are cowardly cheap shots and career-threatening.'"
So who protects the other players from Wilkins dirty cowardly cheap shots, he is one of the biggest offenders in the game, i will have a rather cheesy grin on my face the next time the dirty cowardly barsteward gets his head took off

The wording on the reports out there is ambiguous at the moment, we've got two separate charges mentioned, but only one mention of pleading guilty. We won't know if he pleaded guilty to both until the RFL get their act together and update their website.

| Wilkin. What a pussy.
I hope we make an official complaint against him every time we play them now just to play pathetic and running to the teacher everytime the game isnt going our way.
Jons a good un for cheap shots, so no doubt we will have plenty of oppurtunities to do it - then again I hope Lima just goes straight through him like any other normal rugby player would do.

Shock horror Saints fan defends ban against Wigan player with big match on the horizon.
It’s because of idiots like yourself that this game is turning softer every season.
One week into the new season and we’ve already seen the incompetence of the RFL knows no bounds and that fans of the other sides are more than happy to let it slip if it screws Wigan over.

I've stood and cheered Wigan against Australian opposition before, and will do so again in two weeks time.

True, we need some more chicken wings to toughen the sport up.

| I can't believe all the whining and the daft conspiracy theories on here. Lima did 2 chicken wing tackles so Lima got 2 matches. Steve Snitch did one chicken wing tackle and got a 1 match ban. That's consistency!
Punishments seem to be a little harsher this year, as Aaron Murphy got 2 matches for his spear tackle which seems a little harsh. It seems the RFL are getting a bit tougher.
The only questionable decision was the two match ban for Godwin. Running in and punching from behind should be worth 2 matches at least, but he's already been banned this year for a spear tackle on Prescott. Surely that should warrant a longer ban if he's already been banned once before within the last month.
Other than that, it seems like the right decision, but if Lima can appeal despite pleading guilty it might be worth it. It was his first game after all and that could be a mitigating factor if he argues that he'll change the tackling technique immediately.
