Why do the players need to know? The players like Noble will know he is on an outer, other than that why is it important they know who is coming in at the moment?

As I understand it there may be certain issues around bringing in the new man that have made it a long draw out process under the same sentiment our coach may have had things to sort that could mean he did not want it announcing.

The people who need to know will know, i see no reason for anyone else to know at the moment.

Not to mention any sponsors who need to know.

Behind the sceens all the people who need to know where we are with the coaching position will know, we as fans do not.

I keep repeating myself, but I'll say it again, there is nothing to gain from announcing anything at this time because I imagine there is nothing to confirm. If Noble was staying it would be announced, if he is leaving and we are in a position to say who the replacement is, it would be announced.

He is probably going and the replacement is either not confirmed/found (unlikely I imagine) or the replacemnent is under contract and therefore we cannot announce.

To just say he is off without a course of action to follow in the announcement is rubbish, you only tell people stuff when you have the full story.

You as a company owner do not tell your staff their boss is leaving unless you can then tell them what is going to happen once the boss is gone, therefore giving a sense of security to the team

Imagine a press conference where IL walks in and says 'Noble is not the coach next year', and then walks out.

We'd all be thrilled with that!!

There are a few reasons this tread is carrying on 1)People are bored and therefore keep banging on they need some news, 2) people have no faith in IL to do the job and therefore are fretting.

Personally I expect IL will at the end of the season produce a top coach and we will finally all be happy.

Yep, who the coach of the team is going to be has nothing to do with the players does it?

We're now only one step away from

- Why does the new coach need to know who the new coach is?

So thats the players disrespecting the fans as well. Damn them!! Damn them all.............!!

Their could be any number of reasons why nothing has been announced yet.

It could be Noble is staying or he might not want it announced publicly yet as things have not yet been finalized into what position he will be at the club he is going to.

It could be the new coach has not yet given notice that he will be leaving the club he is at.

It could be visa problems with the new coach or a player he wants to bring with him and the club do not want to be made look a fool as was the case on some occasions when Uncle Mo was dealing with things.

It could be that the new coach is at a super league club who are still in the playoffs and nothing will be announced until his team is out of the playoffs.

It could be we have no new coach as of yet and I.L. is trying to persuade Noble to stay.

Or the 200/1 shot is it could be at the end of the season I.L. will announce he has sold the club and the new owners and coach will be announced at the same time.

I am sure something will be announced at the end of the season but which one of the above i do not know or it could be something completely different.

Suppose the new coach is am assistant coach in Australia whose team is still in the play offs. Would he automatically get a work permit to be head coach in England?

Would Noble stay on one more year, knowing that his new "assistant" would be taking over at the end of next season.

All possibilities and all the more reason not to disclose anything until all is finalised at the end of the season(s).
