| Quote: NickyKiss "I'd be surprised if it wasn't Farrimond that French replaces. He's bounced back well from that tough game against Wire but they've still not really given him that responsibility of controlling the side and it was Keighran who seemed to do the bulk of that in this past couple of games. I doubt they'll change that this week and Keighran will do one more game in the halves until Smith is back.
I mean this in a good way but I hope that is the last we see of Farrimond until 2025. That will mean Field, French and Smith have all stayed fit and available and Farrimond can rest up and walk away happy with how the year has gone, ready to come back next year with plenty of confidence.'"
Bev doing the full 80. Jack not playing.

I think we can do it but the continuity that KR have had with their spine over the last couple of months gives me a bit of an edge, particularly as we've been so disrupted. It's a big ask for French and Smith to hit top form as a partnership right off the bat.

| Quote: MadDogg "Good point - that's the nightmare fixture that you can't see KR losing. Even if we finish 3rd now we would likely go to Warrington if we beat the 6th placed side - that still feels winnable.'"
I'm probably a bit different in that I think a challenge like going to HKR could be good for us. Things are going great for them at the minute but this run now could well do them no good when it comes to the play offs. It's all been a bit comfortable for them and there is no way they'd blow us away like they've been doing with teams recently. I'd back out experience/quality to see them off anywhere in a big game.
I think we'll see a really motivated Wigan side over the next few weeks. I'm seeing very little talk in the media about Wigan, with pundits going for Wire v HKR as a final in the main. I think Peet will feed off that and use it to fire the players up.

| Hull KR and Warrington will be extremely nervous hosting a playoff game.
I can already see HKR over celebrating the LLS, Champagne spraying the lot. Whilst it’s a great achievement for a club of that size it’s never really worked out for teams who do that (Wire, Huddersfield come to mind).
Whoever goes to craven park will have won the week before and be playing with little pressure, all the pressure will be on KR.
I do think back to the CC final, we accomplished it all. All 4 in the bag and a 20 year old lad in Junior said “We’re not done, we want more” just minutes after a final.
Hopefully tomororw is the start of us going up the gears.

Presuming we win tomorrow, the litmus test for HKR is next week at Wigan. Following that, they go to Leigh which will be a very difficult game.

| The Burgess dummy spit tonight just emphasises how lucky we are to have Matt Peet. I'm not saying he doesn't make the occasional mistake as he's human like the rest of us but generally speaking he's calm, composed and doesn't try to attribute our failings or defeats to external factors.
Vaughan was sent off because he didn't bend his back and was too upright going into contact - no other reason. Burgess' rant around the rules and the refs is right out of the Daryl Powell playbook and it never did him much good.

I'm of that mind too, another factor is that the lowest placed qualifier and top places opponent could be an awkward and experienced team like Saints (with many players back) or Leeds (with nothing to lose.)

I had the feeling somehow that it was a tea-time KO (5 pm?). The Catalan games usually are, aren't they? I can't recall Saturday night rugby at all in the past. I assume this is all Cats' doing?

Saints fans will probably laugh as much as some of ours at this opinion but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Saints put a run together in the play offs and made Old Trafford. Getting in the play offs may be the biggest challenge but most players are due back for them and if somebody asked me if they could go to Craven Park and win in a semi final, with a strong team, I'd have no doubt in saying yes. Play offs rugby is different and no group of players has more experience in them.

Could 100% envisage a Saints team with Walmsley Knowles Sironen Matautia being able to defend 14 points, they're not done yet

Defending their way to it is the only way they can do it but they've got it in them. It would shock me less than Leeds winning it in 2017 anyways and they've as much, if not more experience than that Leeds side.

| Finally an offload and look what we do off the back of it. Once again we are having to deal with a slow ruck so hopefully we can be a bit more expansive.

| I'd rather walters make the tackle and concede the penalty there

| We are getting battered in territory. Catalans making 50m comfortably in every set and now our back 3 have forgotten how to catch a ball.
