I’ve forgotten his name but Warrington already have a hooker who’s overtaken Clarke. Dwyer is just their interchange

Oh i agree but Dwyer is a downgrade on Clarke. I suppose it depends on the reasoning

He used to play bowls with Reg Leeming, the grandfather of Kruise and told him that one day his Grandson would play for Wigan Warriors (crazy thing is, we weren’t even called the Warriors in those days, so he predicted that as well).
Ps-I don’t know if Kruise actually has a grandad Reg

Danny Walker is the hooker I thin k may mean. Good lad but that missing the ptb in the C Cup game v us was a disaster for them. At times Walker seems like a younger version of Dwyer.
As for Leeming, could be a very good signing for us. A fast 9 who can cover other positions.

I wonder if Brad O’Neill might get chances at loose forward in time. We know Smithies signed with an Australian agent and that makes you think he may go at some point in the next couple of years. O’Neill played a really mixed role between 9 and 13 in the academy/reserves.

| The 9/13 interchange looks like the way the game’s decided to go in the last few years like Radley, rather than the prop/13 battering ram. Good to see us catching up.

Something will have to give over and above Cust going.
We will have 4 hookers in the squad unless one of Powell, O’Neil or Forber are about to exit.

| Matt Shaw has said the deal was sorted very quickly after looking likely Leeming was joining Catalans so explains why there has been no rumour/links. Reading on social media and Leeds fans aren’t too impressed with him both his on and off field performances but maybe a case of sour grapes.

| Get the feeling something really has gone on with Powell. Leeming is an upgrade although can be a little hit and miss for me. We've probably swapped a 5/10 hooker for a 7/10 hooker. Him and O'Neill should be a good combo going forward.

| Surprised as everyone else by this, but I liked the look of him when he was at Hudds (was it?). Rightly or wrongly, the Titans don't seem to have trusted him with much game time. But they're a team in transition with a new coach. Pleased, anyway, although I daresay Forber may move on. Have to say, it does almost make me wonder if there isn't something in the scurrilous (and, I suppose, to be fair) predictable suggestions of some sort of falling out between Powell and Peet.

Wonder if it’s related to his shoulder op and the news isn’t good for him? The other part of me thinks we’ve been charitable to allow him his testimonial at the club.

Don`t think it`s sour grapes as most Leeds fans were not too disappointed when he left especially when Leeming spit his dummy out when told he wouldn`t be captain.
Jack Burton sums him up on one of your previous pages.
He will have some top class games and some where you are scratching your head why he didn`t pass instead of going on his own.
But that could be said of most hookers with the exception imo of Roby.
A better option than Powell, oh and Dwyer!
I do think O`Neil will be better than Leeming.

I’m not sure there is anything in that Powell rumour. Peet has always spoken glowingly about him but things can change. I noticed Peets kids both had Sam Powell testimonial shirts on last week, when they were on the box. Maybe they’ve just picked sides We’ll see what comes of it but we’re too heavy on hookers now, that’s for sure.
