I'll admit that I'm a product of my generation. Guys like Skerrett and Cowie when I was growing up were legends. You knew at the game they'd get into the opposition players. Late and high shots, biff and general housing.

Nickle would do the same and I'd love to see how the game would play out when he did.

It was a horrible tackle and deserved a red . If you really want to see more of that then you really are stupid . I like a bit of biff but that certainly wasn’t biff in any way shape or form

As clear a red card as you can get. He got it horribly wrong but I think he was trying to slam him on his back and got it wrong. Big ban coming up but we can't argue. That refereeing performance was possibly the worst I've seen this season and showing a yellow just compounded it.

It was a clear red card imo. Worst crusher I’ve seen since Ferres on Gildart. I’m not sure what he was trying to do but whatever it was he got it very wrong.

He’s acknowledged his mistake by going to apologise on his way off the field, I respect him for that and hope the St Helens kid is ok.

Peet echoed those comments saying Powell is gutted in the dressing room and didn’t mean it.

I’d expect 4-6 matches though it may be 4 based on his conduct after the incident.

No place for that in the game I'm all for hard hits and playing to the edge but that's a shocker and could put someone in a wheelchair or worse. Should have been a red deserves a ban.

The inevitable ban will mean everything - it was a cowardly act on a player in a vulnerable position by a player who should know better.

Haven't watched it back yet, but at the game it looked a bad tackle and so unlike him. I thought it was a red and he'll deserve whatever he gets.

Really impressed with Peet's honesty after the game regarding the tackle. Even as a Leeds fan I've taken a real liking to the guy. Comes across really well when he's interviewed.
He's a class act imo.

Poor challenge, Powell is disappointed in himself for it happening and he expects him to be out for a good few games. Also mentioned that he hoped the Saints player was ok on what would've been a big day for him.
