| The [ialleged [/icoaching set up for next year doesn’t fill me with any confidence that it’s going to get better. We need fresh blood, fresh ideas and a complete revamp like Mags in 2010. Lam has to go now and the search for a new coach started immediately. We can write this season off (we should have done that 2months ago). We’ve nothing to lose but everything to gain.
7 times in 12 matches we’ve gone a full 40 without scoring a single point. That’s unforgivable and sackable in itself.

| Call me an optimist but I think with a new coach and a possible bounce back affect we could actually win the grand final. We were ing awful tonight and Saints only scored 3 tries against us and 1 was a strip on the line. They’re not as good as last year when we nearly beat them, IL should be watching that and thinking it’s time for change for a possible big reaction from the side.
Imagine Wane came back, id give us a squeak of winning it.

Personally I’d send Rads on his way too.
Major changes needed.

This year however it’s just woeful.
It’s time to go.
We have the coaching structure in place for next year already at the club, so why not give them a go now to prepare for next season.
Lam is clearly done.
It’s just embarrassing how lacking in any form of class this team has become.
I know IFL doesn’t like to sack coaches but he needs to send a message to the supporters and future coaches that he will not accept this level of performance.'"
I lost faith in Lam after Barcelona.
I’ve said previously he couldn’t coach Pat’s or Judes
Lenegan has lost interest I believe but hopefully before he goes he dumps Lam preferably over the weekend.
I said weeks ago we won’t make the playoffs as we won’t win another game this season. Does anybody disagree?

Can’t knock your optimism and I want to be able to believe you. But I can’t. It feels almost delusional, and that’s not said in a derogatory way towards you. Paul Sculthorpe nailed it with his comments on our pack and Lam aside that’s a huge issue. We have no go forward whatsoever from our props who throw in the occasional half decent drive. Hastings/Smith can’t play off the back of that.
We may rid ourselves of Lam but we’d still have the pack issue and that alone IMO stops us winning a GF if we could ever even be back in the race.

On the bus back from the Barcelona game I was fully subscribed to Lam out.
He won me over last year.
This year though has been an absolute disaster.
Time to make a statement.

| Enough is enough and there’s been plenty of us banging that drum for months. But is isn’t enough. IFL will not sack Lam, I can almost guarantee he’ll still be at the helm come Leeds next week. And we’ll reignite this thread saying the same old things

I’m just saying it possible, I said we could bounce back after the semi defeat to Leeds last year and got shot down and it nearly came to fruition. I will stand by the statement that I don’t think Saints are all that, not as good as last year and we nearly beat them last season.

Any new coach who comes in at the moment does so knowing they are unsackable.
IFL needs to show some leadership and strength and make a statement by doing what needs to be done.
As I said above he also needs to let Rads go too.
New broom required at all levels.

I am in no way saying it’s likely but i think there is a chance. We came within a whisker of winning last year and our pack was no better than this year, probably worse.

| I’ve asked this on a previous thread and got no responses. Who would you all bring in to replace Lam?
Would you go down the Saints model of NRL assistant coaches or the Warrington model of coaches from superleague Mid table teams?

| If Matty Peet is at the helm after Lam, I can’t see anything changing. Peet, Winder, Lockers, Leuluai and Goulding are all entrenched in the current systems and culture at the club and a complete change is required, supported by investment in the squad.
Not many people have backed Lammy more than me but I’m left bereft of any optimism this season. I’m not sure he’ll be sacked but we are desperate for changes, and soon!

The guy is here for a holiday.
I hear he spends more time in the Bowling Green than he does at Robin Park
