I honestly can’t fathom the OTT criticism of Hastings. His on the field performances have been nothing but 100% committed (possibly tries to do too much at times!), his post match reactions reaffirm that commitment.

I hope he stays for next year and beyond.

Come on its not that hard to work out - he's committed the cardinal sin of daring to suggest he'd like to go back to the NRL one day. That's unforgivable for some of our fans, just look at Budgie and the stick be gets, or the vitriol sent Sam's way for daring to leave.

I think Hastings has had a change of heart, is happy at Wigan and wants to stay next year.

I heard that the senior players were asked for their opinion on Hastings staying for another year.
I hope that it is true. Big changes in the squad next year so the experience that Hastings will give the squad could be priceless
