FWIW, a cheap courier delivery, e.g. Hermes is upwards of £2 per parcel within the UK, probably more for a business like Wigan doing very few online orders.

A stamped envelope is 60-70p yes but that is untracked whereas courier deliveries are fully trackable now.

If they sent it untracked and it got lost in post (or someone claimed they hadn’t received it) the club would have to send the product and pay for postage themselves again.

It is the correct commercial decision and not there to rip anyone off.

Just give all the stock away free it will make everything a lot easier.

These lot would still complain if they had’nt recieved it in November despite not needing it for a further 3 montys. And then when they send um out in November complain saying what happens if i lose it? Cant believe they sent um out so early.

Correct, They would sign a contract with the courier based on an average amount of parcels per year. The club will make a small amount on delivery charges but so what, they are a business! If you want to save on postage ask your friends do they want to order anything and place a single order, if it’s greater than £20 then free postage, if not then it’s the postage costs split across however many, it’s a win win for club & supporter.
