He’s been really good recently mate and probably even more so in the none televised games, so that makes sense. He’s really stepped it up in the absence of Flower and Clubb (for a couple of games).

Farrell can often go unmentioned because he's pretty much expected to play well every week. I've been impressed with Isa recently but I was really surprised he was given man of the match last night. I thought Farrell was far more involved. A quick comparison between the two:
Willie Isa: 24 metres from 5 carries - 39 tackles and 5 missed
Liam Farrell: 138 metres from 17 carries - 32 tackles and 1 missed
However, it would get a bit repetitive giving Farrell man of the match every week.

| Faz is our best player IMO and it’s no coincidence that our season turned round when he came back. He’s a victim of his own consistent excellence, as he has to be 9 or 10 out of 10 to get a load of praise rather than his usual 7 or 8.

Have to agree Faz is very much back to his bests for Isa,he does what he does and ive always said it sides need players like him, they all can't be the flashy eye catcher of a player, you need workhorses and that's what he is a fine workhorse.

I thought Faz was excellent again against Hull but the extra aggression shown by Isa made him stand out. Sneyd wasn’t given an inch and his kicking game suffered because of it. Isa was on him from the first whistle to the last and it was those contributions that made a difference. Stats don’t always tell the full story and I thought Isa’s extra efforts, particularly on Snead were the difference between the two sides.

Sneyd sulking in his post match interview at Isa's kick pressure was great fun.

| I remarked after the game, seems to me you don't really get anywhere near as much kick pressure in SL as you do in the NRL. Sneyd may whinge, but the likes of Shaun Johnson and Anthony Milford take a dozen of those on the chin (sometimes literally!) in every game!

His milking of every contact was embarrassing.
He’s in top 3 divers in the league is Sneyd.
Shame our very own Liam Marshall is in the no1 spot though. Ha

Marshy tries to win pens for interference/holding down, but he doesn’t stay down feigning injury like Sneyd does.

| And frankly there's half a dozen in the Catalans side that are way worse! Tony Gigot or Greg Bird, anyone?

Your 100% correct with that. All i would say is that with the thread being about Isa, he has been doing it week in week out 80 after 80 whilst Farrell has had 10 weeks off. Not slagging Farrell when i say this as faz will be next captain of Wigan.

I think Marshall's penalty-milking is his way of trying to keep his spot when everyone else is fit. The contrast between him (rapid and amazing finisher) and Davies (decent finisher, massive overall contribution) is a big one, and if wingers are expected to contribute to our go forward, the only way Marshall can try and compete with our other wingers is to win penalties through a quick play of the ball.

| That's certainly true. LM always fights for a quick p-t-b, and why not? If you get a pen one time in five, it's well worth it.

| Sam Tomkins is one of the worst, or should I say best for clamping the tacklers arm in the tackle, looking for a pen for holding down or insinuating the tackler is looking for an illegal ball reef etc.
Love it or hate it, gamesmanship has always been part of the game.
If Liam can nab us a pen which leads to us rolling down the pitch with another set of six...go for it. There's always ebbs and flows in a game anyway.
