You can use your foot/leg to prevent the ball being grounded if it’s already there, you can’t kick or stretch your foot out to get underneath it though, that’s my interpretation.

If you want to whinge about that try looking at your own team first look at the Hardaker try, your defender went into Hardaker making contact with both feet and knees, definitely an argument there for an 8 point try. Hughes put the ball on top of Hardaker’s foot.

Imo that is probably the best Wigan have played all season.
If you can carry that desire on the the Neu Camp...you'll won't have to read the script.

There was no contact with knees or boots on hardaker and tomkins was/is the worst for going in with the boots

I wasn’t giving an example, purely reminiscing about an incident that we have fond memories of. The rules in many areas have changed but you can attempt to get your leg under the ball to stop it being grounded. Regardless of the call being correct or not, he wasn’t penalised so unless they ignored blatant foul play you must be wrong.

I’m not doubting the try, the ball was grounded. Just saying that a certain Warrington fan should look at his own team’s indiscretions before having a dig.

Dont be daft, you know as well as i do that all sorts of gets ignored, and also gets ignored during video ref decisions, someone was also doing their best to drag hughes back by his head during the scramble as well, that didnt even get looked at, that's contact to the head thats not penalised, i guess im wrong about that as well.

Think this does the game justice. Had the feel of a good old fashioned cup tie, in the balance to the very end.

I don't think getting another decision wrong later evens anything up. Scoring or not clearly has an effect on the game [iat the time[/i. Momentum can change, heads drop or pick up. Going behind or in front can make either side do things differently at the time. We simply need a better standard of refereeing and the video refs needs to stop trying to over analyse plays in slow motion to the extent they are playing things back a frame at a time so they can convince themselves that something that didn't happen really did!

Was the knock on decision wrong? Wane doesn’t think so, under the current rules. He has a point, there is no requirement for a knock on to require a deliberate act. Compare to RU where I believe “intent” is the difference between a penalty or a scrum for a knock on.

To the letter of the law it is a knock on, but the lack of intent makes it hard to stomach because you can't get your arms out the way in that instance. If Austin is judged to lose it behind him as he is going down for example and it hits Tommy's arm as it did then Wire get 6 more tackles.
