I think Phil Wilkinson has addressed the Trent Barrett rumour. Apparently, although the club never normally comment on speculation, they are quick to state this rumour is wide of the mark...I wonder why? Maybe IL doesn't want SE to get wind of it?

Think it was more to do with Hastings being a clown off the field. Barrett gave him umpteen chances and every time he threw it back in his face.
He was deeply unpopular with the other players, as he was at the Roosters beforehand
