This is a disaster if true. We and him have been robbed of one of the best wingers in recent times. For the good of his health, he needs to call it quits now if its an ACL. I hope the club can find a role for him in a non playing capacity. Time for Tom Davies to find some of last seasons form again now. We have seen and read a lot this week about the club having a duty of care to idiot players etc but this is where the club REALLY has a duty of care to look after hard working pro's who have seemingly had their career snatched away. Gutted for him and us. An absolute pleasure to watch. Came back and won us the Grand Final. I don't see any way back for him now.

I think the club will give him a month or so to decide what he wants to do and will back him in whatever decision he makes. He'd have to be very very strong mentally to go through it all again, for the fourth time.

I suspect he will make his decision based on medical advice. I do hope that he can be encouraged to go through the process again, even though there will be long dark days ahead. He is still young and hopefully he can recover and pull on that famous cherry and white shirt again next season. I am sure the club will do its utmost to support him to do so.

I’m sure he will give it a go unless the doctors highly advise against it. Whilst recovering he will still get paid what I guess is a decent wage by Wigan if he retires it’s the unknown although I would like to think the club will help him out.

If I were him I'd use this time whilst I was still being paid by Wigan to prepare to go into another line of work. If it's true that it's his fourth time one of his knee's has gone it just can't be good sense to continue. Important that the club stand by him and support him in whatever he does.

It's two on the right knee and two on the left I believe.

How unfortunate for the guy, really dissapointed. As an oppossition supporter, I have to be honest I genuinly think this lad is the best winger in super league for years, and such a shame he can not get a long run at it.

Very, very sad indeed. Had the ability to be the best winger in the league but clearly his knees aren't up to it. The poor lad must be devastated.

Terrible news, hope he gets all the support he needs to deal with this, regardless of whether he stays in rugby or not.

Sad news, I know it won't be a popular comment but IL needs to release him from his contract so we can use his money on a prop, Find him a job behind the scenes and help him with his rehabilitation/physio etc, Also encourage him to go to college so he's got a fall back, It is selfish of fans to expect him to go round again and risk some long lasting damage just because he is their favourite player.

As ever with this it’s firstly just Manfredi who you think about. He must be beyond gutted and wondering where his career/life is heading. I’m sure the club will do their best by him.

You then think of the team. To have a back three all 6ft plus and so threatening was massive for the team. It really started to turn our season around and it was so exciting to think what they could produce long term. It’s a good opportunity for one of the other lads now but they’re not Dom Manfredi.

Fingers crossed his recovery goes smoothly this time.
