| Imagine having played a decent team today? It would’ve been a cricket score. For all the bbc gushing about Warrington, they must be pants to not score 30 against THAT wigan performance.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| In 30 years watching Wigan, that is in the top 5 worst perfomances I've witnessed. Totally lifeless, no set plays, no runners, no aggression, no energy, no points.
A hallmark of Wane's tenure has been these dreadful performances that pop up, usually around this time of year. He can go now for me and please take Williams too

Obviously the opposition have no effect on the outcome whatsoever, but you're right, we are pants (and in the semis).

| As a Widnes fans I can't pull other teams performances apart, but that was one of the worst Wigan performances I can remember seeing.
Al ot of the problem lies withing the 1,6,7,9 diamond.
Both Tomkins and Leuluai are nowhere near the player they were in their first stints at your club.
Powell and Williams are not what I perceive to be "Wigan" quality half backs. When you look at who you have had at 6 and 7 over the years to go into a season with those two at first choice half back must be disappointing. I just don't get the whole hype over Williams, he scored a few good tries when he broke into the team but seems to have not kicked on.
Good luck for the rest of the year, hopefully we swap Betts for Wane, to make your season complete.

| What a waste Bateman is in a Wigan shirt, I'd have been off at the first opportunity if I was the lad

There was plenty of debate as to who would play 7 pre-season with Escare back fit (so a candidate for 1), would Tommy L go to 9 etc. The fact Wane went with his favourite player and gave Powell the 7 jersey when he has only ever played there rarely in SL previously was not a decisions I thought remotely sensible and not just due to his relative lack of experience in the halves at this level but because he hadn't demonstrated the skills required such as some pace and good passing ability. Wane has tried the "switcheroo" where Escare would come off the bench at 1, Powell would go to 9 and Sam Tomkins into the halves. I was half convinced he only did this so he could get them all in the team! It made no sense, confused no opposition coaches or players, meant for half a game you had a worse combination playing and shows what a poor coach Wane is. The half back issues the club has are entirely of Wane's making.

I would not wish Wane on any team except St. Helens. They can have him tomorrow (with Betts as assistant).
This CC game began like many other league games this season, with a poor start. Except this time there was no come back. I think I can count about three games against decent teams where the team has been in gear from the off, Leeds away, Cas home and the magic game. They have beaten some weak teams easily but that tells you nothing. Against a decent side play like that and you lose. Like we did to Saints and now to Wire. The attack today was as bad as any last season that had people complaining. The excuse then was the injuries but this total lack of any idea we see too often has been here too long for anyone to bemoan Wane going. Lenegan has kept him well past his sell by date as it is.
