| Disappointing display but not a surprising result.
The camp seem intent on just playing for the CC and seem oblivious to discontent on the terraces and in the pubs. Hope they enjoy "their" weekend as they are watched by probably the lowest number of Wigan fans since WW2 at a Wembley final.
Wish we had 15 other players with the heart and brains of ST and Davies as the rest last night were average to rank. Davies is the best player at the club by a mile at the moment and ST thankfully is returning to somewhat near his best.
We need a significant injection of new blood in the squad and a whole new approach on the coaching front. Don't think for one second that this will happen so we get another season of grind, wrestle and d.

What about Bateman and Lockers.

I've been saying this since early June, when it was clear as daylight that the squad didn't have a regular performance in them. They've managed to scrape their way to Wembley, and that is the best they could hope for. No doubt the next two home games against Huddersfield & Salford will be turgid affairs, and the remaining 4 fixtures after the CC Final will be dead rubbers.
Changes need to be made off the field at the end of the season. Scraping into the top 8 isn't acceptable for this club.

| In sport, things happen. Teams have bad seasons for various reasons. Leeds did it last year, Chelsea the year before but came back champions.
Wigan have been in the last 4 grans finals and won 2. We all know we'd have beat Saints in the 'Flower' final and we lost the one to Leeds because of a try from a knock on that wasn't given.
We are the current champions and world champions and are in the final of the challenge cup in 3 weeks! If that isn't good enough because we've not thrown the ball about enough go and watch Cas!
This season hasn't been great but in 35 years watching Wigan I've never known a season like it for injuries and whilst it is not an excuse for everything it certainly mitigates some issues for me.
At the start of the season I'd have taken WCC and CC and given the season we've had I'd say it's quite a successful year, although I'd rather have won the GF.
Im sure I'll be in a small minority but sweeping changes to coaching staff and players is not needed. A bit of luck is what we need, that's all and we'll be there or there abouts again next season. Bring on the abuse!

I thought Lockers was abysmal tbh. Lazy errors and a general lack of urgency. Even Bateman didn't seem to want to get too involved in defence although he was the only forward for us who carried the ball well.
Some were worst then others (Gelling, Leuluai, Sutton and Burgess being particularly poor for me) but I only though young Davies came out of the game with credit. He is an absolute workaholic and his attitude is fantastic. A few of the other playetsxgot shown up by him last night.

Your right you are in the small minority, the club needs freshening up from top to bottom. Forget if it's been a successful season or not, for the good of the club changes must be made on both playing front and coaching. At this moment in time we as a club are dying on our feet, in 40yrs of watching Wigan I've never seen as much discontent among the fans, the do gooders will still say we've won a wcc and are in the cc final but the truth is we are in the entertainment business and quite frankly we are far from being entertained. The chairman and chief exec are more concerned about the Wigan name rather than the product they are supplying, would McDonald's or KFC reduce the quality of product to promote their name, the answer is no they wouldn't because the product is what gave them their name in the first place.

Get a grip ffs. You make some valid points; there are definitely improvements needed in the playing ranks and some fresh ideas in the coaching, although Wane doesn't need replacing for that to happen nor should he be, but you ruin your argument with sh*te like "the club is dying on its feet". If our club is dying then there's no hope for anyone else in this sport.

You say this like we have already won the CC....on current form and performance, we will get mauled by Hull.
At the start of the year would you have taken the WCC, scraping into the super 8's, scraping into a CCF (where we should of lost to Warrington and played a poor Salford), subsequent defeat in the CCF and an 8th placed finish?
Because realistically, that is what we have had and should expect. I wouldn't. The season we have had is a poor showing all round.
I am genuinely unsure what changes can or will be made.

Wane needs replacing and the "old boys club" needs breaking up and i include the chief exec in this.

| Mass panic is not needed, we need some changes in the playing staff without a doubt.
I would switch Powell in to 7 and leave TL as backup hooker - can't be any worse and must be worth a try, might take a game or two to settle in but surely got to be better than watching Tommy flounder - I groaned every time the ball went to him to kick as you knew it was going to be a rubbish effort - it always is. You can tell when we are playing badly Williams starts to run around in circles and completely stops any attack in it's tracks.
The halves were poor last night - very poor. Second half we looked completely lost no direction and no serious effort at times - Wane himself called it after the game.
The Gelling Bateman side looked lost in defence second half - some really lazy efforts.
Like others have said Sam at least tired and Davies was our best player by a country mile if others had shown his attitude we would have been in with a chance.
Leeds played well but we let them at times.
