| Quote: Grimmy "I panic when Joel gets the ball as it is because of the amount of times it seems to go to ground/touch/the opposition. I'd be very concerned if be was moved to the position where you touch the ball more than anyone. I agree we can't ask Ganson to play 80 at hooker but surely this isn't a wise move.'"
It wouldn't be my choice but apparently it's the plan according to the WEP.
I'd probably just jet Ganson and Woods share it.

| I do hope the coaching staff are agreed on who should play where as us lot can't agree on almost anything between us.
Joel at dummy half, he's 6'4". I don't buy that one.

| Where's the kicking game? Powell never seems to do much kicking, what about Woods, does he?

He is, and a goalkicker too. I'd go with Powell and Gregson in the halves and Ganson at hooker, with Woods on the bench to allow Powell to relieve Ganson. We already know Powell can play both positions, and can do the full 80.

| Is that team possibly the lowest average age in SL history?

Average age of the 19-man squad is 22.8 years, if my maths is correct. I'd be surprised if there was a lower one.

| What a star we have with Sam Powell played the last 15 months with out a problem played at hooker as cover half back and also kicks goals well done to the young lad.

But most of the time he is held together with bandages.

| I'm actually looking forward to it particularly if we could replicate the atmosphere generated when we seemed doomed to relegation a few years back.
It's strange but I'm less concerned about the three quarters but more about the few remaining senior players particularly FPN, Isa and Tomkins being able to step up their performance.

| I think Isa has always put in a shift to the best of his abilities, but yes, the other two need to step up.

| I agree. We need the established players to step up tonight to stand a chance.
Burgess
Faz
Frank
Tautai
Joel
Powell
Tierney
Sutton
I feel we will go into the game with a 'backs to the wall' mentality tonight.

| Decent effort in the second half but it has to be said the defence in the 1st half was pretty awful.
Taking into account how many players Salford were missing it's looking like it's going to be a tough second half to the season.
I'll take top 8 now and no more injuries and have a go next season.

I was talking to my sons at half time and I'm pretty much with your last sentence.
I can't see us winning a game in May however, June with players back should see us to around the 20 or 21 points target for a top 8 place.
It looks like Powell is now potentialy another injury which effectively decimates what is left our any half in the squad.
Upside on the night was a spirited second half and Sutton continuing to develop. I can't see why this lad can't do an 80 minutes rather than a stop start 20 minute cameos.
Salford played some decent rugby and you wouldn't want to go to their place if we beat Swinton in the cc.

Bit early to be writing off the rest of the season? We had issues last year and people called for Wane out then won a grand final.
A long way to go yet...
