I can't help but feel a little short changed with the side we played but there you go. We do it every year in this game yet year on year Leigh are getting stronger so the result gets worse.

I thought Micky Mac may have made the effort to go to the fans at the end also. A cracking crowd turned up from Wigan and I'd have expected him to acknowledge that.

I agree MattyB, but we were embarrassed today not just beaten or outclassed.

What made it worse was the group of fans more entertained by the name of a sponsor than the actual game. They sang more songs about Lisa than they did about Wigan all game, add to that the pally back slapping or whatever bromance was going on between them and Reynolds was embarrassing, he was kicking us to death, we should have been at his throats all game regardless of whether it's a friendly or not.

As a Leigh fan, it was disappointing that Shaun Wane virtually fielded a different team in the 2nd half. But I think you guys have more fiendlIes lined up (we only have 1 more v Dewsbury)
1st half was a good game, but 2nd half....Leigh v Wigan Juniors, although the 'young pies' got 'stuck in/tried their best) it should have been the scoreline that it ended up being....

Last year I got lambasted about friendlies, however I made the effort to go this year but I do wish that I could turn the clock back

Anyone that pays to attend a friendly and expects value for money really are going to be disappointed.

The worst part of today for me is most people won't bother with friendlies next year. We'all play a proper team in a game in another country next week with zero Wigan fans there.

They clearly need to do it that way due to the Catalans game being the closest to the first game but it feels like bad planning and they should have been the other way round. It'll have no bearing on our season but today was pretty frustrating.

Second half wasn't a great spectacle. Too small in the middle made it easy for Leigh. Thought the young ones gave it a good go though. When Ganson, Brevy and Field were the front row it wasn't strong enough.

Not concerned about the result. It's a good opportunity to get some of these lads out there and mingling with seasoned pro's. Stands them in good stead for when they may be called upon. We always get tonked in this fixture but every year we bring new youngsters through who end up as first teamers and for the last 4 years at least we have made every grand final. We will get beaten by Toronto too but who cares. We always start the season slowly but we all should know by now that it is a marathon not a sprint.

Felt sorry for those kids at the end , I just don't understand Wanes policy , they were getting pummelled , I don't really see what they will have gained from that 2 nd half , not really fair on your 17/8 hundred fans either

I understand giving youngsters a run out against part time teams when fitness can even things up , but against experienced full timers , just plain daft , then again it's Shaun we're talking about here
