| Just been on the RFL Disciplinary website and noticed Segeyaro has been charged for contact with the ref, was this similar to peacock and charnley? Has charnley ever been punished for a similar incident in the past (perhaps even verbal abuse?) which may have increased his punishment?

Previous record affects the punishment, not the grading.

Be fair. I bet before this year when we didn't appeal anything his posting history was full of praise...

However, the JP incident was identical to the Charnley incident at Leeds when he copped a two match ban. Therefore, JP should have also received the same two mstches.'"
I can't remember Wigan appealing anything before this year, but then I also look at Ashton Golding against Leigh - take a player in the air and from all the replays I saw lead with an elbow but no charge.

I don't we've had much option. With all the injuries, any & all attempts to get players on the park have had to be made, no?
As for the vagaries of the discipline board, I'm amazed (I think it was) Sarge's deliberate throwing of the ball at one of the French squad (and hit him square in the mush) during one the "melees" wasn't picked up (but the officials [iwere [/iconcerned with other things at the time ).

They have, and we still haven't gone to appeal often.
The request for a postponement of the Wakefield game was rebuffed by the RFL, about the same time a Scottish football team had their game postponed due to illness. The rhetoric about player welfare clearly doesn't apply here. I remember that Charnley looked green at the start of the game, I'm amazed it wasn't a bigger scoreline to be honest.
