| Quote: Fergus "I travelled over to Wigan last night and although we lost I enjoyed the game. I chose to watch Mr Tomkins closely and was disturbed by his role in the game. Although being crocked early and limping about the pitch he still had an influence on the game.
This was evident in his repeated tirade to officials at any decision that went against him and his team mates. At one point he even demanded that Matty Smith - his partner in crime - return to the ref to remonstrate after already giving him a right mouthful. Again, at one point Tomkins approached and directed his frustration at a linesman. To top it all he had a go at Aurona implying by his gestures that he was a tad overweight - I waited in vain for Tinaru to tw#t him in a tackle.
This player is of course lauded by Sky and away from rugby he seems quite a decent chap. However, he along with O'Loughlin and Smith are a stain on the game when stalking the pitch. They are making RL unfavourably comparable to the game of football and all the bad vices that that game exudes. Ban all three of em for eternity says I.'"
Come on, admit it ... you don't believe in viruses or injury crises, and deep down you just KNOW that Wakey are 62 points better than Wigan, damn it! And sod that bloody referee for not sending off enough Wigan players to enable you to prove it.
PS: Anyone who thinks that Matty Smith 'stalks the pitch' or influences any aspect of any game, let alone referees, knows absolute zilch about rugby league.

| Quote: Trainman "Not really a subject you will get intelligent debate on though is it? You have attended a game with a pre-determined view based on prejudice and bias and attempted to find as much evidence as possible in a vain effort to prove your theory then posted it on the oppositions forum to see how many people you can wind up and goad into a response. Commonly known as trolling.
I think I will watch the game back on Wigan TV and record every time a see a Wakefield player speak to the referee in a manner which does not befit their god like status then post it on the Wakefield board, on second thoughts maybe I won't as I'm an adult.
Had you posted something like 'over recent seasons I think there has been a significant increase in players complaining and running over to officials when a decision goes against them which I believe needs to be stopped before we end up in a situation similar to football where the officials are shown no respect' then I think you would have got some intelligent debate and a lot of people agreeing with you.
If you care to watch every team as closely as you have chosen to watch Sam then I'm sure you would notice this across the board with all teams having players who in my opinion cross the line of what should be acceptable.
I hope this reply was of the quality you expected even though your pathetic post didn't warrant it.'"
When you do watch it back will you do me a favour?
Count how many times Wakey players threw themselves back on The floor at the PTB and waving their arms up to the ref trying to influence the referee into giving them a penalty.
All teams do it occasionally but got the feeling Friday that Wakey were playing in roller skates at the ptb.

| Quote: ChrisA "Tomkins certainly influenced the ref, after all he did send three Wigan players from the field. That said, you did still manage to lose it, maybe that should have been your focus rather than Tomkins gamesmanship, which goes on in every team.'"
He believes that they were unlucky not to win a game against us with 12 men for almost 65 minutes and missing
Bateaman, Clubb, Moose, Crosby, Tomkins, Sarge, Gelling, Micky Mac and Faz and technically Burke given Frank is arriving tomorrow.
I bet he believes the gap is closing for them and the top sides. If it was reversed and them missing 9 players got 2 sin bins a sending off we would have put well over 60 points on them. He is just sulking that a poor Wigan side proved that the win they got this season was down to illness. With the 2 centres and most of the starting pack missing we beat them and we were stronger than them in the last 20 minutes when they should have been. Really poor ro be over 1 converted try ahead with 10 minutes to go and lose the game. Seems Sam Tomkins on one leg is fitter than Wakey players on 2.
That result put the 64-0 in real perspective it was down to the bug that most had that were playing in that game.

Wakey had 9 first team players missing aswel. The players you had on the pitch would still have cost double of who wakey had on the pitch. No we didn't have anyone sent off but we lost a player due to a bad head shot. And if all the players had a bug last game why didn't he put the young lads in like he did this game because you had real injury's.

He did!! In fact they were younger than the ones who played on Friday. One of them is now in Australia on the U18's tour.

Anderson,Scruton,England,Topou,Kirmond,Simon,Molloy, Johnstone and Gibson and TECHNICALLY Annakin that's the poor sod that couldn't come back after that nice bit of thuggery from your captain, I think you been out trumped here squire.
Anybody whether they deserve to win or not should count themselves lucky when they score the winning points with the last score of the match, but with your logic I doubt if you'll see it that way

What part of he did do you not understand? Higginson and Wells played at Wakefield. Wells is now in Australia on the U18's tour. Gregson played at Wakefield. Shorrocks at that point had been out injured since last September and only made his return about 1 month ago.

| Quote: NickyKiss "Sam Tomkins would have been better taking a leaf out the Wakey fan book and boycotting a game reffed by the Child!
The only point you make I'll comment on is the one where he made Smith go and speak to the ref. I noticed it and it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in a field! I had nothing against Tomkins whatsoever but it was a little embarrassing for Smith having to be told to do that! It shouldn't have needed pointing out to him as stand in captain.'"
He did exactly the same to Lockers too - good to see in my book. Gamesmanship/playing the referee is certainly a facet of Lockers' game he's missing.
