It'll be interesting to see how this much lauded Hull team cope with a 'really big' game and not just a regulation weekly round fixture. With us having only the one forward who 'might' make your side it should be a comfortable victory.'"
most of the hull squad have been in 'really big' games before, what a strange comment!
ellis, frank, manu, fonua all played in finals in the nrl
lets not forget taylor who won the challenge cup with wigan against us, which will also be an incentive for our players who played in that game to right the wrongs of that awful final (for us and every other fan watching baring wigan and kr fans)

By no way do I expect a easy victory.reckon it's going to take a season best performance to win .In regards to Bateman I said he was the only forward that I feel would get in our pack.never did I state he was the only player.you have class all over but according to your coach's week attempt at mind games you'll be massive underdogs against our 10 nrl superstars. Please let me know who they all are please because I count 2

| Wigan win, all those internationals in the England squad and favourite at the bookies. Seriously though should be a cracking game with a good atmosphere, personally I'd have had it at Hudds and it certainly should be on a weekend, but as a Hull fan I'll take. Semi final at any time or place. As someone has mentioned we have plenty of big game players, so I'd doubt we will freeze, but the game could either way, both teams should be more or less guaranteed a top 4 place by then.

"I hate pies". You have made a typo there, a few years ago it was "I ate pies" on the old 606.
I am only pointing out you have put an h in before the ate. Cheers,

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "The problem isn't the venue and most fans agree. It's the fact that it has been chosen as the Friday game. Why? If the games had to be played on Friday and Saturday surely the Wire v Leigh game should have been the Friday game just for travelling fans considerations. In reality the games should have been Saturday and Sunday. I'll be there, but as I've retired it doesn't affect me as much as most other fans.'"
Leigh!!! Don't be building their hopes up.

Would the Wakefield fans not have to endure the same problems of getting to the game on a Friday night?'"
DW Stadium to Keep Moat Stadium 88.2 miles, 97.2 if you go via the M62
Belle Vue to Leigh Sports Village 54.9 miles.
It's not the venue that's the problem it's the fact that it's being played on Friday.
The games should have been Saturday and Sunday.

individuals have for sure but as a team this current Hull side will be playing together in its first semi final. Touch wood if we can get a reasonably strong side out there we should have a side together that is used to playing in semi's and finals on a regular basis.
Hull are having a fantastic season but this game will go up a few notches in intensity. I'm genuinely interested to see if you're the real deal. It's great for the game to have a strong Hull but that's means getting to finals.
We'll have to be at our very best to stand a chance of a win but I think that's true both ways.

Surely every team playing plays a semi for the 1st time together.....from the teams that played in the 2013 semis...how many are left for you out of curiosity.Yes it will be a step up in intesity for us but the fact we have got rid of a few gremlins this season,Radford growing into the job and not many injuries means we are used to a settled team and are winning matches we would have lost before

To me this is a new Hull team with a new attitude and I mean that in the most positive sense. It isn't a first semi or final for a lot of the players but it's the first test of that sort for this side that has been built over the last couple of years. Yes there are some players that remain from the odd semi/final appearance over the last few years but they're now playing as a collective in this side which looks capable of winning things. I just think we now need to see if they can take that next step.
We on the other hand are reasonably settled. Off the top of my head I'm not sure exactly how many players remain for us since 2013 but I do know the vast majority of our side which will turn out in that semi will have played in the last two grand finals (and in semi's). Our side is evolving gradually but for Hull it's been more of a revolution and that's my point.
It's all set up for a fantastic game.

| It is indeed. I didn't see much of the Catalans game, but I figure Hull must have done pretty well to get past them; they've been impressive this season. Our goal-line defence against Cas was pretty good, and I'm sure it'll be tested again.

| It's going to be a tough game. As fc baldy points out, they've been lucky staying relatively injury-free this year, which is always a big help, but I think if we have a few more bodies back by then (or at least don't lose anyone else) we'll manage to edge a win.
