Because it's a forum and and everyone is entitled to an opinion, you not learnt that in school yet.

Maybe I should of worded it better, and I didn't come on to say if it was a try or not, I was just saying the lad asked an honest question and didn't deserve to be treated that way wether he is a Cas fan or not.

He's baiting. There is a reason he only has 2-3 posts to his name, his previous posts have been removed.

He isn't a Cas fan, he is a Wiganer who supports the Latics and hates Wigan Rugby.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Definitely a try, can't see what all the fuss is about...

34270.jpg Quote from Graham Lowe - "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a tripple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union ......... but I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league!"

| If you watch it back, the ball is spinning over the line. When Manfredi's hand goes passed the ball it bounces up 2-3 inches. Therefore that may suggest that he bushed it with part of his hand. He's later show talking to Tomkins and pointing to his little finger. As I understand it, thats given as a try. I'm not saying it's a great rule because I think it should be controlled downward pressure.
The Cas first try was obviuosly forward and at the time Dave Woods said theses decisions even themselves out, so maybe he was right. Either way Wigan were by far the better side and fully deserved the win.

| He didn't touch the ball with his hand but he actually grounded the ball with his back afterwards. Would that count?

He has an albeit brief history of trolling hence the general response he has got.

| The Ref gave "a try on the field" so why does a Ref make a decision THEN go to the video ref?
What is the point? Just go straight to the VR, my opinion is No Try Manfredi did not touch the ball even with his finger.
The VR said "he couldnt see clearly from the playback angles so if that's all you've got i'll have to give a Try"
Madness, it's a good thing it wasn't the winning Try!

I don't think it was a try, what did you think of Sam Tomkins try?

| Quote: Trainman "This is a perfect example of where the rule is wrong. As far as I'm concerned it was not a try. If you freeze frame from any of the angles shown there is nothing that conclusively proves he didn't touch the ball, in all probability he didn't however as there is no angle that shows a gap between his hand and the ball. If you apply the rules to the letter I can understand how he came up with the decision.
If the ref sends it up to the VR then he isn't sure, the VR should then make a decision without any influence from the ref. If the VR can't make a decision because it is unclear either way the he can hand back to the ref and go with his call.'"
But that aint the rule!

How could the VR rule no try? Had the ref signalled a try and not gone to the VR you would have criticised him! Unless the rules are changed we must abide by what is in black and white at present. It mattered not anyway, Wigan were far too good for Cas tonight. By the way I have not heard Powell complaining about the refs performance tonight.

| Told you on Tuesday... It's all the ref's fault.
We outplayed and overpowered Cas in all aspects of the game. There are no talking points here i am afraid. We won, we deserved to win but as usual because we are Wigan and jealousy is rife we shouldn't have won because of this or that.
Best team won and best team will win the final and good luck to whoever it may be i say. If Cas had of beaten us today i would probably slate decisions by certain players and the coach and congratulate the opposition but some fans just love to hate Wigan because we are the benchmark of success (although Leeds have had a bloody good go in the last 10 years) i would say that Leeds have achieved more but Grand Final's have only been around for 20 odd years so we can't really count that on past history because we would have won a pon full
Also, suffolk tiger has posted a good message on the cas forum named 'despite everything'.... Somebody who hasn't just come up for the day and judged us but he went to Sam's bar in scholes, that's a tough audition of Wiganers, and still enjoyed his weekend. If you are reading this suffolktiger, fair play to you mon but may i suggest a better drinking hovel next time
