I assume, because you're older than God's dog, that you're stuck in the past somewhat. Remembering the golden days in the 80's when we were winning everything.'"
P Cheese W I am older than Itchy and the dog you mention, as well as being further in the past, but I can recognise a team that have had any semblance of thinking for themselves drained out of them.
The style of play has been diluted from when Madge was here, they have gone from a team that could play to a structure as well has having the ability (and the licence) to change things when required.
The first season after Madge Wigan played some of the best rugby seen at Wigan for years, but that is when the structures installed by Madge were still fresh in the memory. As well we had assistant coaches who had played international rugby at halfback and who could pass there knowledge on.
These assistants were allowed to leave, why have they not been replaced or is it like I am beginning to believe.
That it is because we have an head coach who is frightened of having an assistant who may steal some of his glory by proving that his set in stone style of play should be changed.
