20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Quote: Itchy Arsenal "Swap James for Botham and you have nailed it.'"
To be fair on Botham he didn't play many games and injury stopped him playing and longer but from what I remember he weren't that bad, he ran hard and tackled well. I thought he would have gained a good reputation here had injury not finished his career.
I think I'd swap James for Danny Hill to be honest, I thought with James he got into the team due to lack of quality rather than lack of effort.
All in all I think the worst player I've ever seen put on the Wigan shirt has to be Andy Powell all day long and not because it's fresh in the memory but because he was pure dog dirt.

| I'm surprised Phelps hasn't featured in a "worst ever" squad.

That's a bloody awful team. Surely Karl Pryce deserves his place in there?

| Vaeliki redeemed himself when he went the length of the field against Saints rounding Wellens in the process, Karl Pryce gets his spot.

| Quote: Cherry_Warrior "I have picked a worst SL team from all the teams, As already stated it would be too easy to do a Wigan one from the dark era of the mid noughties.
My team is based on underperforming players at the bigger clubs because it would be far too easy to just rattle off a team full of PSG and London players although most of my selections are Wigan players because i saw them play regularly but some stinkers from other teams have sneaked in.
1. Mathers/Webb - Too tough to call that one
2. Calderwood - At Wigan - I was massively disappointed with him bar the Bradford play off game
3. McAvoy
4. K. Pryce
5. Colbon Quote: Cherry_Warrior "
Colbon ran his blood to water for Wigan, used as a battering ram forward(!) by Noble he went above and beyond the cause, no doubt on little money. If only some of the much vaunted overseas imports had a smattering of his attitude.

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

I remember his name along with the likes of Gael Tallec, Warrem Barrow, Stephen Holgate etc but can't remember whether they were much cop.
I'd swap Withers for Pryce, Danny Hill for Jordan James and was thinking of sticking Brady Malam in there somehow.
