Hardly. There's always an exception to every rule.
Also nice to see you ignored the rest of my post as it's yet more instances of Wane getting it wrong.
Strange how Wane only seems to have a dig at the guys who are a little different isn't it? Or do you just not see that? Please enlighten me as to why you think Mossop, Patrick or Smith haven't had the same treatment?
Either way it doesn't matter because Wane won't be here forever. He's slowly proving that he's out of his depth. The week in and week out c0ck ups he continually makes can't go on forever nor can our relegation level away form. I just hope you are enjoying these last few games with him in charge.

| If josh had a good centre ..if the ball was passed to him ..how can he prove himself if the play goes forward forward n pass to the other wing ..I'm fuming at his comments about josh he looks like he is putting a winger down so much as if there are not other players to blame let's see how many times josh gets the play of ball this week .. I say waney is defamation josh character .. Just remember the past 2 years and how many tries he got .. The ball was played equally down each wing ..josh had the best centre who is a centre not a front row ..glad someone else things is a public bashing ..

| well, his words aren't exactly harsh but the whole thing leaves a sourer taste in your mouth doesn't it.
a few years back and you'd see wane praising the guy week in week out for his top try scoring abilities (lets not forget with much better centres along his side).
for me, wane is technically correct in what he is saying but it should be done in private, I do not see why he feels the need to make this public in the way that he does. rather bizarre if you ask me. its almost a final warning before deciding if he is going to get shut or not.
if you ask me, it is the coach who should be worried, not josh. still the team is still in a good position and hopefully josh can do a good job against widnes to give us further selection headaches as ultimately that's all we want as fans and I'm sure wane wouldn't argue either.

| Hasn't Josh himself contributed to the public discussion of his form by giving an interview to the MEN and indicating there are a couple of issues?
Not sure about that - may be completely misremembering it - but IF a player is willingly giving out public statements regarding his form (or lack of it) it does create a kind of public debate inasmuch as the press are going to keep asking questions about it regardless of whether the coach considers it a hot topic.
I should add that I totally agree about the uselessness of Mossop, who I'm sure is on a decent wedge, and the big disappointments that are Tautai and Patrick, particularly the latter. It seems odd that none of those guys have been pilloried, but then it may also relate to training, attitude, personal relationships with the backroom staff etc - we don't know what goes on there, or who annoys who.

Wow, that's quite a post.
As far as I can see Wane has included Josh over Dom, who is more worthy of the place, so that's hardly having a dig. He's challenged him to play his best, I don't see anything wrong in that.
You are again being selective. Our poor away form is more than compensated by our home form. We are two points off top, having just beaten top. To hear you banging on about how poor Wane is you'd think we were 3rd from bottom not 3rd from top.
And if you think Wane will be sacked in a 'few games' you're living in cloud cuckoo land mate. Did he steal your sweets when you were a kid or something - I mean why the downer on him?

The highlights of Leeds try's last week can't have made pretty viewing for Mossop, Tautai or Patrick.
I wouldn't select any of those three on Friday (all three will play though).

On Charnley, Wane said: "He went ok last week, he's training really well at the minute and will play again this week. I couldn't ask for any more from him with regards to his effort."

| As I said, it could be journalistic licence on how the questions were asked and answers interpreted. Time IMO for Wane to address our pack performances please.

| Shaun Wane knows Josh Charnley better than the majority on here having coached him for the majority of his career, he obviously thinks a kick up the backside will help get him back to his best and hopefully he is right

And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

| To be fair to Charnley, I thought he looked a lot more interested last week and had his best game in a while (especially up against WBW ![Rolling Eyes icon_rolleyes.gif](images/smilies//icon_rolleyes.gif) ).
Hopefully scoring last week will have given him a confidence boost and we'll see the same kind of display this week.

A bit off topic but the WBW that is Ryan Hall has to be the ultimate (really) big game player! I do believe he is the best and that's because in finals and internationals he always seems to come up with the goods but in the week to week superleague games he always seems to drift a little as though the games don't mean enough.
It'll be a total waste of his talent if he doesn't have a crack at the NRL (which I doubt he will).

| WBW? Better than Tuivasa-Sheck, Morris, Korobeite, Nightingale, Radradra, etc etc? Ridiculous, in my book. Hall is a good player, but probably not even the best winger in SL.

A fair assessment, I also think he is the best around right now and would love to see him have a crack at the NRL. If we had 12 English players of similar quality to go with him, Roby, Graham, G.Burgess and Hill we would walk the internationals
