| On the coach leaving the ground and it's an emotional time but something doesn't feel right. I'd be content if Wanes time ended this weekend. He is feeding opposition teams with ammo week in week out. Teams detest us because of the idiotic and arrogant rubbish he keeps spouting.
I keep thinking am I being 'knee jerk' but I'm pretty patient and this has been going on for more then a few weeks. We've won one away game in 10 months ffs! Who's away form got criticised in the build up to today by Wane?!!!! Not ours!!
I've been 100% behind him but I'm at a loss tonight. Deflated!!

Played 8 won 8.
Away Form
Played 7 Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 5
Next games:
Leeds N
Huddersfield A
Saints A
Easy!
Personally that says to me that there's a competitive side in there somewhere. Whilst I don't think we have the best side in the league we shouldn't be a 60 point drubbing kind of side either.
Everything to me points towards Wane being massively out of his depth. Sod him being sacked he should fall on his sword and resign imo..
Without a shadow of a doubt his time in charge at Wigan has been a failure. The high of the double season has been more than nullified by days 2.5 seasons of almost constant low points.

Exactly how I feel. If not tonight (don't think it will be BTW) then I struggle to see how he will survive the next month.

I think he is too far up his own to resign tbh.

Good post, I've personally never liked the man or rated him as a coach, it's definitely time for a change there's some serious issues at our club

Indeed.
He still probably thinks the NRL is realistic! His ridiculous comments would be both cringing and funny at the same time over there.

| With the players we have I don't think we're a million miles away from having a successful team. We have a young team that will no doubt only get better as they gain more experience.
I don't think we are good enough to win it this year( if we do it will be a shock IMO).
We have Sam Tomkins to come back next season which will give us more attacking options, I think we need a couple of old heads 2 x Craig Smith types, beef that pack up.
I'm not into this 15 Brits (of which 12 are Wiganers) first team, we need experience to help these young lads reach their potential.

It's hard. I want to back him, I want to think its a blip but I've been at Cas this year and I've been at the game tonight and that's not a Wigan side of post 2009.
The lowest point for Waney and one that loses a bit of my support is when he wants to play bragging rights with the Wigan supporters. After the recent run of good form he bashed the supporters who criticised the team. He criticises the atmosphere at home at points. He's possibly right but that's dodgy ground to walk on! You need to be a multiple title winner to walk that path!

Agree on the latter part of your comment in that it's probably better he moved on, but I liked him when announced - he'd worked his way up, the academy lads loved him, he was very passionate and bleeds Wigan RL.
Now the pressure is on, it seems we are starting to see the cracks.
It would have to be one hell of a season turnaround for him to be given more time!

| Yes, feel much the same. Let's give Catalans some credit; they played some good stuff, Taia once again was excellent. But Jeez, Featherstone went over there and gave them a real game. What does that say about us?

Sounds like you should try putting the 18th man on the bench.

| I'd cut him some slack if he wasn't so much of a gobe, the guy just can't keep his mouth shut. I feel this is actually part of the problem, it's like Koukash at Salford. He's writing the opposition team talks and putting pressure on his own team, every friggin week. Just shut up and coach Shaun!
3 defeats in the coming weeks and he'll be gone, but after all that I think we'll actually win at least 2 of the 3.

Agree. I think we will lose to Leeds but beat Huddersfield and maybe even Saints who aren't that good themselves.

We will lose the next three by at least 30 points in each game unless we can sort out the centres where defensively we are a nightmare. We have no alternatives therefore, I for one can't see anything other than 3 beatings.
I expected a few ups and downs this season but the last two defeats feel different to inexperience more like a rudderless team that hasn't got a clue what to do or how to change things.

| OK, for all the shouts of "out" who would come in that could galvanise the squad (not that I actually think they need much), satisfy us lot and scare the brown stuff out of everyone else? Kearney? Sheens? Who currently in SL is there? Or, the gods forbid; McBanana.
Wane needs to take a leaf out of Madge's book and just button it & get on with what he's supposed to do. Something's going wrong, but I'm just not sure getting rid is the solution.
Be careful what you wish for. I feel the presence of a Monkey's Paw (Google it).
