They have updated it now: "Wigan Warriors scored six tries in a well-earned win over Catalan Dragons." Thank you BBC!

| A very good win from an extremely well disciplined Wigan team.
The Cats knew they could get away with it as Child is a ref easily intimidated by a home crowd. They should never have ended the game with 13.
The two points are very valuable as we've not too bad a run until the final two games of the season v Wire & Leeds. Hope we can build on this win v Catalans.

Glad he did well tonight. I'd heard how good a prospect he was but up to tonight i didn't rate him. Changed my mind tonight. Hope he keeps it up.

I groaned when Child was announced as the ref even though I wasn't expecting things to go that way.
Their coach gets a few brownie points for not doing a Nathan Brown spat (from the BBC):
"There was an element of ill-discipline from our part given the penalty count against us. We spoke about wanting to be aggressive but there is a line that you can't cross. Unfortunately we crossed that tonight."

| I didn't notice at the time, probably because I was still effing and jeffing at the disgraceful antics of the lunatic Catalans, but reports I've read are suggesting Hughes kicked one of the goals. Is that right? I thought Smith kicked all 6

| Excellent performance from the whole team. Apart from a scratchy first quarter I thought it was a really good display with superb discipline in the face of disgraceful tactics from Catalan at the start of the second half.
No player should be singled out as I thought every one of them seemed focused and did their jobs well.
James Child handled the game superbly well I thought and comes out of the game with huge credit.

The French coach deserves a lot of credit for that statement.

| Fair play to him for admitting it. Good to hear Wane just brush it all off as a tough game as well rather then do a 'Nathan Brown'.
One thing I've been surprised by is the lack if a 20 page thread on the VT about Catalans disgraceful tactics! We got that after the magic weekend because Micky Mac dared to hit Peacock on the shoulder.
Double standards! Ha.

You beat me to this! Was just going to post that there's not even been a mention of last night's game.
Might have to change this

| Terrifically disciplined performance from The Pie in the face of robust tactics from the Cats. Well done on a great win from the HJ
What is is about Elima?. He is a good player but with better discipline could be a very good player. Watching the game it appeared that Childs had a half decent game and was talking to teams to try and keep a lid on it. I think an earlier removal of Elima for a cool down might have helped.
Not sure, as suggested earlier in the thread, that the presence of MM would have helped at all.

Agree, Elima was seriously wound up in that 2nd half, him getting involved with little George Williams summed him up. I also think that would have been the point him and Micky Mac would have gone hell for leather (and would probably have walked).

What a dreadful thing!

they are referring to the fact that Les Cats have only lost 1 game at home all season, and since they lost their first 4 (Just checked. Actually it was 5), they have obviously become one of the form teams of SL.
therefore, given our injuries and losses in the last 2 months, Les Cats could rightly have been regarded as slight favourites at home.
the manner of the win in those circumstances was therefore a surprise.

McIlorum and Elima already have history, McIlorum give him a sweet one not so long ago and Elima wasn't to be seen for the rest of the game.
