Didn't see that one coming. Got to trust the management that this is a good signing. When all is said and done they have a very good track record lately.

He agreed terms with Hull a couple of months ago. Don't know when it will be announced but with us needing some good news and you having now found a replacement it may be soon.

Got a good player heading over to you for next season. We will miss him in the middle!

Great feet & speed for such a big guy (used to be a winger).
His injuries are a bit worrying for us but who knows.

Shaun never mentioned Greenwood who will return in 2015 after playing a full season in Super League.
Agree though, with nothing said there about Taylor is seems as though Tauti is his replacement.
Without Taylor it numbers up at 7 SL props next season.

Tautai is a backrow forward whilst he has been used as a Prop at Wakefiekd that is more due to necessity than planning.

I don't think he will be used as a Prop for us. Wane in his interview mentions him as running on the flanks and talks about the others as the middle unit.

I guess we needed to lose a prop or two as we have so many at the moment. Taylor would not have been my preferred choice but with Dudson, Crosby, Flower, Clubb, Pettybourne, Greenwood and Sutton - that is a pretty good rosta.
Adding some depth to the 2nd row was a must, as Faz, Lockers, Bateman, Hughes and Burke is a little light weight.
C Farrell, Hopkins, Austin and Lever will also come into contention for 2015.
Overall that is a decent pack with a nice mix of youth and experience.
Hooker is also nicely covered with Macca, Williams and Logan.

Doubt we will see Logan at Wigan in 2015, doubt we will see him in a Wigan shirt again unless we pick up some massive injuries.

I agree. However at the moment he is cover. just in case. I guess Sam Powell can cover 9 as well, so Logan prob will be off to pastures new.
The squad is looking good though now that the youngsters are getting good gametime and building up their experience.

Perhaps he never mentioned Taylor, as to do so would indicate that he has actually signed the extension for next year, before any announcement has been made to confirm it?

Contractual talks could still be ongoing potentially.

Who knows

If he has signed for Hull though, he deserves to be ridiculed.

Hansen, Lauaki and Powell all left pretty late so hopefully Tautai has been signed to add to what we already have and not to replace anybody (any main players anyway as we can afford to probably let one or two fringe players go).

Good point, with the teams performance so far you forget who we have already lost!
