Quote: TheButcher "He's been excellent for us so far. For all the hype surrounding Noble's choices of player pre-season, we were left with very average Hooking options. He even sent our best young hooker away on a season long loan. Howarth is pap and Lee is only ever going to be a second string hooker. Tomkins has sped-up the ruck area and closed it down as a defensive weakness (If only we could plug the defence out wide!) so as a Salford fan, I'm more than happy to see him stay for the rest of the season.'"
He's played his best rugby for us when he's started and played long minutes. When he's spelled McIlorum and come on after half an hour there is always a noticeable drop in our intensity. Think he'll do a decent job for you and it wouldn't surprise me to see him come back to Wigan next season as a much better player.
