| Rugby League has lost the importance of what it means to win a game. I watch sport to ultimately see my team win games, this whole charade of getting through to the play offs has lost its edge.

Win a game, or win the competition, which would you prefer?

| I think people are really being naive if they think where deliberately playing lets be honest sh*te and where suddenly going to switch the form tap on, today's performance was shocking we have no form what's so ever and I'm personally really worried about our chances at wembley.

it's not that simple though is it? For people who save up for season tickets and follow the club away from home they are getting short changed by not necessarily just the club but the system too. It's easy to write off some of the recent performances with your comment but I just enjoy winning games and like to see us show some kind of improvement and not sell the family silver every year just to meet this fairytale view that we can have 17 Wiganers in the side. I feel like some fans are happy to lose games on a consistent basis and when a sport allows this it's time to pack up.

People said the same thing before the Semi, or words to that affect, with a full team, switched on, we're dangerous. We went into that game having lost 3 out of our previous 5 games. Just as we are doing in the Final. I have no worries about our chances at Wembley.

We aren't losing on a consistent basis though. We've won 17 of 25 games this year, in the league alone. Not to mention being undefeated in the Cup. If the club's plan was the blitz everyone up until June, get a good lead on the top 4, then coast for the remainder of the season, picking up the intensity in the play offs, if it brings us a title, who are we to argue?
Now I hate losing as much as anyone, but i'm not going to condemn the team based on a few lackluster performances. If we end up with the double this year, will anyone really remember this game? I doubt it. All i'm saying, is, if we have to sacrifice games here and there to keep the side fresh, for the betterment of the season, how is this a bad thing?
If you feel cheated by the system, then don't buy a season ticket, pick and choose your games. For the next year at least, this is the system we are using, rightly or wrongly. We all know that at the beginning of the year, there is no use complaining 25 games in that we are manipulating that system to our advantage.

| If top became champions I'd be crying into my beer tonight thinking we'd blown the title but hoping for a bit of form for a run and a good crack at the Prem Trophy. As it is a dont give a damn. We've seen the champions from the past 2 years go into the playoffs in shocking form so no need to worry. Wasn't Leeds booed of the pitch on the last game 2 years ago? What a joke our comp format had become. And it's still the first reason for non-RL mates give for not going to a match.
They think I'm crazy for paying and going to games when it doesn't matter.

I understand your points but then winning 17/25 looks fantastic until you look at the 8 games we've lost/drawn and who they were against. There's a lot of faith placed in tapering in sport but I don't buy it as much in a team sport, there are too many variables. I applaud your optimism but in my opinion it's grossly misplaced with this coach in charge.

| I believe form means nothing going in to a game of this magnitude. I just hope best team wins with everybody talking about Rugby League and not dodgy ref/VRef decisions.
Safe journey to all and I look forward to sharing a few beers with a few of you before and after the game.

| Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
Winston Churchill
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Winston Churchill
Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose.
Bill Gates
Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.
Confucius
If you're going through hell, keep going.
Winston Churchill
The will to succeed is important, but what's more important is the will to prepare.

| Only managed to see the second half but I was very dissapointed with what I saw. Scott taylor had a good game but as usual there where far to many bad decisions, silly penalties and a lot of sloppy defending, some of the tries we conceded were embarassing.
I'd like to think it was a case of players keeping a bit in the bank for next week but I don't think that was the case at all, Ever since the warrington game heads have dropped and bar a few easy wins against the likes of widnes and london we have looked way off the mark.

| I hope that Winston feller can play fullback, standoff or centre next season, because we are going to need him.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| Going into next week's game in the form we are in I am very concerned. There cannot be an agenda to just not try. We haven't strung a decent run of sets together, let alone matches. When we went on that consecutive run of wins, they were playing well, and I always felt we had a good chance of winning, but right now I am worried.

| Just the annual Shaun Wane's Wigan end of season collapse. World Beaters in May. Bag o' e come the business end. That said we'll probably scraup a win next week which will mask our inadequacies against the big boys. A win next week will give Lenegan just enough slack to continue his policy of asset stripping Wigan's golden generation for intangible gains such as 'youth development'. I don't want a successful under 15's. I want a decade at the top like Leeds have had under a regime with balls to hold onto a winning squad.
