| I have work commitments Friday so I'm unable to make it.
However I'll be buying my Grand Final tickets at the weekend from the website whether we make the Grand Final or not.
If people are bothered about struggling to get a ticket then just buy one from the RFL, they have plenty! Even if we don't make it, it is still a great spectacle and one of the reasons why I've been to every final since 1996.

| To be fair to a lot of fans they may have to make a choice due to money, this week or next week and in that circumstance many will watch on tv in the hope of a next week as they would rather miss a semi than a final.
It is the sad times we live in that is driving this. We live in a tough economic climate and may people simply dont have £100 spare cash in a month to attend a rugby games. This is the reason crowds are down.
Many of those fans will have to pay up to £250 for a season ticket in a months time. Others will have been to wembley 6 weeks ago. To attend Wembley, play off's, grand final and then purchase the season ticket some fans could face an outlay of around £500 on rugby games in a 10 week period. That is a big ask in any families budget, let alone if more than 1 member of the family attends.

| In any times there will always be people who can't afford to go but the RFL aren't exactly limiting that with this set up. They're milking the fans as much as they can with an 8 team play off system and to top it off now leave just a couple of weeks between the challenge cup final and the start of the play offs.
The people running the sport are killing it at the minute. It's simple in my mind, move back to a top 6 play off system, move the cup back to May and don't go accepting magic beans for sponsorship deals!
I could make those decisions for free!

| A lot might pay on the day.
A good number of people who get paid monthly will get paid on the 28th of the month.

| The weather might put a few off, especially if travelling is required.
As I type, Saddle Junction is currently closed and all Wigan bound traffic is being re-directed down Poolstock Lane causing massive queues.

Hopefully, it should improve over the next 48 hours

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |

| I for one would never miss this in a million years. Its a semi final. People will be first in line for final tickets having only been to a handful of games all year. Pees me off

As season tickets holders have priority, that's clearly not the case.

I'm pretty sure that if Robbo could do that that he would.

In that case, I apologise for the sarcasm.

Now those fans who sit and watch in pubs spending the money that they could have spent on a ticket are the ones that get on my nerves. You know the ones they usually quote the line "I'm not paying for a ticket" before spending twice that at the bar.

If you have a season ticket you will have no problem getting a final ticket anyway so why start calling for semi final attendee's to get priority? what about the people who have watched every home game in the regular season but don't have the money to be paying for 3 matches in 4 weeks?'"
Couldn't agree more, What "makes me sick is people being made to feel gulity for not attending a game. I am not going on Friday because I simply cannot afford to fork out the £34 it would cost for me and my daughter to attend. I don't feel guilty about this, dissapointed yes, but not guilty and anybody who says they are made to "feel sick" or annoyed at people choosing to stay at home are just ignorant, nobody on here knows other peoples circumstances and to suggest that people should "work a bit harder" to be able to sustain their hobby is just laughable. I have a season ticket for myself and my daughter, I have attended every home game, several away games and almost every U20's fixture so I'm sure my commitment to the club cannot be questioned due to not attending one play off fixture.
I will definitely be sat with the superleague tickets site on my PC during the game on Friday to hopefully secure tickets if we win (hopefully paid for by my parents ) and in no way am I ashamed about this, firstly due to the fact that as previously been mentioned I am a season ticket so I have a better chance than most of getting tickets anyway but more importantly sitting and clicking a few keys on a PC is much easier than either ringing the club or going queueing up. perhaps I could use the time I save on not queueing doing some extra work to faclitate me going to more play off fixtures next year

I'm not going to waste my time (regardless of how much spare time I have. ) arguing over why I can't afford to go to a match. My post was a generalisation which I feel will apply to a lot of people. Of course the people who will spend countless wads of cash in the pub rather than fork out for a ticket are annoying. I'm not denying that. But that minority is not the reason there will be a lower attendance than there should be on Friday but some people just can't seem to understand that . There will be plenty of people who won't be there on Friday (i know a number of season ticket holders who cant make it) with very valid reasons and it just bugs me when we get the whole, well I can afford to go to the match and you can't so that makes me a better fan and I should get priority thing.
The RFL are getting greedy. Theres no need for an 8 team playoff other than financial gain.
