I recall a former user on here called Skydog, he once stated that Wigan should try and sign Westwood from Warrington, yet he got slated and slagged off by most of the fans that where on this board at that time many of whom are praising Westwood at the moment stated he was crap and not Wigan standard

Maybe he wasn't much good at the time, and got better? It happens, same as players go the other way as well.

Pat got bagged big-time on here when he first arrived.

If a player changes, are we not allowed to change our opinion of them as well?

sams a good player dont get me wrong but i think its about time he goes back to stand off 'his best position' and play that young lad who went to hull at fullback, sam is suspect under the high ball everybody knows that, he hasnt performed half as well as last year IMO plays well against the salfords and hulll kr's but goes hiding in the 'bigger' games ie, saints,warrington and leeds

theres only one winner for man of steel and he should have won it 3 years running AND THE STATS DONT LIE ''James Roby'' and coming from a warrington fan who has a neutral point of view in things like this he is a world class player he doesnt stop running or tackling, he never misses a game, westwood and sam have had good seasons but come on james roby is the clear winner

You made an absolute tool of yourself at the start, but you got there in the end. James Roby wins it for me.

Roby has been once again very impressive in a Saints team which has lost many of it's stars in recent years. For me it's between him and Sam.

On a side note, and people might disagree I think Lockers should be up there. He's excellent at everything he does on the pitch. For me,e is defines 'Man of Steel'.

Nowhere to be seen against Wire?.......well in fairness his record ain't that great and fair play to them but he did tear them apart in the only knockout fixture he's played against them in the past couple of seasons so maybe not.

Grand final 2010, CC semi 2011, Australia game at Wembley, NZ game at the KC etc etc....no need to go on really.
