Quote: Tricky Dicky "Is a must win game for our boys. This needs to be treated like a cup final.

The last thing we need is another defeat building up to the play off's and definately dont want to go in to the saints game needing to win to win the league leaders shield.

We need to go to Hull KR, win and win well.

I think Hugell the KR chairman was using a bit of reverse psychology when he publically stated their season was over following their last game. I think he may have been trying to fire up his squad before the wigan game in one last assault to make the play off's.

Incidentally, we won the league leaders shield at Hull KR in 2010'"

You will win well, don't worry about it!

I can see you winning by 50 at least.

With respect its not about the win its about us finding form and firing on all cylinders. For me a good game against Hull KR and then a great performance against Saints will put us in great shape for the playoffs. If only it was that striaght forward though.

Problem is we could quite easily stick 40/50 points on Hull KR and still not play well. That's how a lot of the games have gone this season, they are as useful as a training match.

Surely they could have just put the temporary stand up at the other end to get supporters closer to the action?

I couldn't be bothered with that so I've bought tickets direct from HKR for the terracing on the tunnel side.

Bugger, is it really that bad? icon_sad.gif Making our first trip up there on Sunday and just bought the South Stand tickets from Wigan this morning. Would've tried the 'home' ends if I'd realised it was going to be hard work.

Still haven't bought my tickets yet? Would you really recommend not buying tickets for the away end then?

With my Rover's hat on: yes buy a ticket or three, we need the money.

However, see if you can get into the Roger Millward stand (seating) or The Well (standing area either side of the dug outs) as viewing from the south stand isn't great (I'm trying to be politically correct here).

As for putting 40 or 50 on us and being worse than a training game, quite possible. However, our position in the table does not relate to how competative the majority of our games have been this season. Yes you beat us 36-22 at your place but we have two big advantages this game. 1. We're at home and 2. We're not on TV (we've played rubbish in front of the cameras all season).

Thanks for the help.

I guess what I was saying about it being a training match doesn't really apply to Hull KR tbf, our games with yourselves are usually good close games. The number of games this season where we have been off the boil yet still managed to stick 40/50 on teams is good for neither team really. Recent games against Wakefield, London, Castleford and Hull have all been boring in large parts but we've scored over 40 points in each game. I just hope the game on Sunday isn't the same.

Thanks again!

Wish I could share all the optimism.
What's happened between the Salford game and now? I've been away for a week but we've not played since the Reds game.
After that match someone said we'd 18 errors in the game, it was dreadful!

HKR have been losing but don't appear all that bad an outfit. We have been brilliant for a great deal of the season but we need to recapture the form prior to the Exiles match.

We usually play well at their place, whether we'll see enough to know afterwards remains to be seen.
Wigan by 8!

Google Maps gives you a good idea - away terracing is at the bottom. My guess would be about 50m.

"The Well" is better bet - there will be a few of us in there.
