Gutted, but not surprised. At least he's not going to another SL team. Doesn't sound like he's just chasing the cash about either which I think he would have been accused of if he'd have ended up at either Saints or Hull. He genuinely wants to go back to Oz and there's nothing the club could do about it. Hopefully the wheels are already in motion for finding a replacement of the same quality.

I like how we offered him the contract he wanted, but chose wisely in terms of his private life. I'm fully expecting him to return to Oz now. He's been a great signing for the club, but we still have half a season left yet! Thank you, Brett!
We need something good to replace both our half-backs in the off season!

Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

| In such a short space of time Finch has become such a central figure in the team and a real fans' favourite. Looks like he will go out on a high the way he has been performing for us this year, let's just hope he is justly rewarded with some winners medals before he goes home. He'll be sorely missed next year.
