Looks like he missed his face and caught him round the throat/chest. But the intent was still there.

| Chris Bridge is a cheap shot aficionado and is up there with Bailey and Ryan Mcgoldrick, although he is not quite at the level of Issac Luke or Steve Matai.
Anyway, that attempt at a elbow / Flop / forearm was not as bad as some on here think IMO.
1-2 games will cover it, if he had connected then maybe 3-4. Intent is one thing, but the fact that he completely missed says he had second thoughts on the way down and pulled out.
Intent should not be punished as severely as actual contact imo, as it is all down to interpretation by the judiciary / Ref and as far as i am concerned that shower should not be allowed to input their severely disjointed and non consistent opinions.
It either is, or it is not.
That effort falls into the latter.
Quote: wire-till-i-die "
just as bad as joel tomkins on myler or sean olockys on luke robinson get over it , clearly hit him on the chest 1 match ban for intent'"
Are people still going on about that?. I dont normally bite to obvious trolling, but Christ on a bike there was nowt wrong with Lockers hit on the snitch. Joels was naughty, but Lockers was a cracker.

More than likely you were one of the ones calling for a 10 game ban for Sam last year when he tried to stop myler scoring too...
Bridge deserves at least 3 for the cowardly attack on a prone player.

That one was fine. Riley did exactly what a supporting player should do and got himself in between the covering defender and the man with the ball.
The Bradford player knew he was never going to catch Atkins so made sure he got his hands to Riley to make it look like he was being obstructed.

I can understand that, but for me the fact he slowed down made it obstruction.

| Firstly, Bridge should have seen red. It was a simple case of striking another player with malicious intent. He still connected with Jeffries. He should have seen a card against Hudds for his petty brawl with Brown. Thats now twice that Bridge has been let off without a card...
Secondly, I thought it was very stupid of Riley. He was clearly looking at the Bulls player on the replay which to me says he knew what he was doing in obstructing the defender by slowing down.

| I cannot believe some of the blinkered opinions on here. Bridge's attack was one of the most disgusting acts I've seen on a RL field, and that includes Boyd on Brohman, Newton on Long, Morley on McCormack and the Cassidy response.
Saying he didn't hit the head isn't the point. The point is that he dropped, from a standing position, attacked with what can only be construed as clear intent. That to me is a clear and lengthy ban. Especially on the back of the shenanigans against Huddersfield.

I totally agree with every word, the only problem is that Red Hall didn't even cite him last week so it will be this week. Intent? Definately, should have walked imo it doesn't matter if he missed his head or not the intent was there and if the RFL do not do something about it and make an example out of Bridge some one will be severely hurt/injured before the end of the season.
Any team playing wolves this season should just keep running at Bridge guarunteed penalty every set of six.
