Lauaki- In all seriousness could be in trouble for a raised elbow/forearm to Bailey around 77th minute near the centre of the pitch.

Nothing in it. I've no idea why his hand was across his face but there's no eye gouging there. Even Tomkins didn't react.

Wigan were shown no mercy by the RFL in the build up to last years WCC with Lima banned but I wouldn't expect that to be the case again regardless of how bad the incidents may have been.

Whilst on the subject what a coward Bailey is. The high shot late in the game (I thought it was on Spencer at the game but was this the Lauaki one) was followed up by him going hiding in the centres for 5 minutes.

I couldnt agree more. How Bailey has got away with the things he has, for so long, is beyond me. It is just a pity that when anyone squares up to him that he always mysteriously ends up being a wall of Leeds players so he never actually gets his comeuppance .

Honest and respected pro's like Peacock and Sinfield must cringe at his antics sometimes.

Complete rubbish I'm afraid. It was a high shot and out of character for Bailey (contrary to what many of you would have yourselves believe). But 2 or 3 minutes later Bailey made a beeline for Lauaki, while carrying two other Wigan players, and got a penalty out of him, because Lauaki was so riled up.

Unfortunately for you Lauaki will give away countless penalties like that for you this season, just like he did for Hull. Bailey on the other hand, will earn far more penalties than he gives away.

Leeds were doing their general, spoiling for a fight all game, that they seem to do every time they play Wigan. It was good to see the Wigan players mostly didn't take the bait.

hauraki throwing punches, ablett eye gouging, ablett generally looking for a fight, lee smith diving in feet/knees first after the try was scored, bailey grappling, griffins swinging arm, I'm sure brent webb had a go a couple of times too.

Typical leeds though.

In the next couple of sets after the incident he was in the centre/second row position in attack. He waited to let the heat die down as he often does.

I keep hearing this 'out of character' business about Bailey every single week. As Saddened pointed out on the VT he'll probably be cleared for the 15,000th time at the disciplinary this week due to his 'previos good record'.

Leuluai and Griffin were on the field at the time, so Bailey was more than likely supposed to be in the 2nd row position. We were low on orthodox 2nd rowers as Hauraki and Ablett were forced in to the centres.

You'll more than likely find that Peacock makes more high shots than Bailey, plenty more. I struggle to remember the last time I saw Bailey do it, as his tackling technique is good. That's not to deny that he has a side to his game that isn't popular, but high shots are not usually part of it.

Correct. No doubt he was trying to wind him up, because it was Tomkins, but there's absolutely nothing in this.

Well he should be banned but he won't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Wire player testify to say Hock pulled away when his contact was with the eyes, and that he didn't apply pressure to them?

A ban was totally right for any contact with the eyes, but if Ablett has put his hand/fingers on someone else's eyes then he needs banning too. As I said earlier though, I shan't hold my breath.
