Thanks for your kind comments goodervision, i am looking forward to watching Wigan at the LSV, no matter what squad you send, as even your youngsters are stars of the future, and i am sure they on their own would give us a game even without any first team players in the mix, may see some of you there.

I will certainly be going to this game I can't complain with the student prices and the LSV is a good stadium I've always enjoyed my visits there. I'm actually pleased there will be youth prospects playing as I don't usually get a chance to see Wigan stars of the future play that often.

thanks to all who posted my thread to give your opinion, but i will had to a couple who say whoever wigan send if you support the club then support the club, (on them lines) now i go to orrell to watch the under 20s and all im saying is i would like to see the full or at least 3/4 or so of the 1st pack to show there face and give leigh a tuffer test. i think is a fair comment.

Confirmed at the Leigh fans forum tonight that Wigan will send the first team squad players that don't get picked for the 17 that play against Salford. They will play alongside guys from the U20's.

That suggests it would be the fringe players who get a game against Leigh, maybe the likes of Gelling, Hock, Amos, Logan Tomkins, Russell and Mellor?

Since when's Hock been a "fringe" player?

Amos is injured, gelling will be first team. It will be the likes of Sam powell, joe mellor, matty russell, jack hughes and maybe logan although i think he will play tuesday from the bench.

I'd guess we'll be looking at guys like Russell, Gelling, Mellor, L Tomkins, Dudson, Hughes and maybe Tuson then lining up alongside the out and out 20's players.

Looking forward to that one. It should be a really interesting game and a good challenge for a young Wigan side.

Brett Finch may play at Leigh.

Just read on his twitter he's back in Oz for a wedding coming back Monday so he's highly unlikely to be playing against Salford and i'd presume the club would want him to get another run before the season starts.

It'll be interesting to see which one of Powell or Russell gets a start at Salford alongside Tomkins and Leuluai.
