Wigan fans are even thicker than i thought if they think IL would let Wigan become a feeder club for Saracens.

All this will do is get andy farrell the chance to get an ear with some of our youth players and invite them for cross-partnership training and then drop in how much they could earn etc

Exactly, people hear something and then go into a big rant and jump to conclusions, the guy isn't stupid, there are obviously benefits for us or he wouldnt have done it.

i think IFL may just be getting the most out of a bad situation here. JT was going anyway so why not try and get something out of the deal that 'may' slightly benefit Wigan eg.player loans in the future? If it doesnt benefit us then theres nothing lost really as JT would of gone anyway.

I fail to see how we can benefit here, although as has been said, there must be a reason why. I look forward to hearing how, because personally I'm struggling. Having your players closely connected to an employer that can and is willing to pay them more seems a poor idea to me. This partnership has been founded on them buying a player with 4 years left on his contract. Bizarre. But Lenegan has done good things this far, let's hear how we'll benefit before the lynch mob forms.

I agree that we must see some benefit from this deal, BUT I am sure they will benefit more unfortunatly.

I do fail to see what we can learn from a club which gets 6k gates and robs players from other sports. I am sure IL has something up his sleeve though.

Can't see the benefit of a cross code match, they have proved pointless in the past. The only plus I can see is raising the profile of RL and Wigan especially. Saracens have had games at Wembley in the past, I just hope both clubs go to town on this idea and move it there. I reckon it could get a higher gate than the England game. RU fans will buy tickets by the bucket full for games like this and we would take a few. It would be great for our profile and theirs.

If you think we will get any players in their peak years you're in dream land, we will either get potential that we will develop and they will go back to RU or we will get players past their peak

If Lenagan thinks this deal will benefit Wigan, then that's good enough for me.
