It was a school thats closed. Wigan have bought half and use it to run courses in sports performance and sports science. Some of the lads that have just signed on at 16 go there.

Is it frig the posh part! I work around the corner and literally 500 yards away from the school (Gilnow Road Area) is as rough as you can get.
The kids may be posh being driven in by their parents in the Chelsea tractors (and Grayway coaches) but the area certainly isn't.
The fact Bolton (and many other Northern towns) have prestigious private schools has blown your theory that only posh southern toffs in Eton have them! |

not so much a theory, as a dig.
everyone should have a state education, all private/public schools should be closed, and reopened as state schools.
what gives the rich toffs the right to buy a beter education for their kids, who normally end up as chinless hooray henrys/henrietta's.
you might find theres a bigger ratio of public/private schools to state schools in some of the southernmost counties, compared to UP NORTH |
