| Sadly Suzy, attendance is another victim of recession and bad planning. All 4 stands looked terrible on attendance, and 12'000, less than half we'd normally get for this fixture.

| I have a season ticket and have been to all cup games and the majority of away games this year. I couldn't afford my tickets for today, but went anyway with my overdraft. I am in two minds about whether to fork out again next week. If they put an offer on for reduced prices to season ticket holders or something then I would more than likely go, but it's too much to pay out every weekend.

| Quote: Agent Mulder "To be honest I was expecting some noise from the South stand today but we never heard anything really at the away end. We could hear the East stand chanting WIGAN now and again. I thought we were going to be in for a rendition of the song the Brigantes have been singing lately, the one you sing over and over again.'"
Noise doesn't travel well at all from the south stand. Next time you are at the DW, take a look at the roof over the North then the roof over the south. The North has a solid roof whereas the South has a plastic roof.

Keep it up your livening the games up and were trying to keep up with you.

Wigan had a bit of a head start, so expect to be a step behind... But I, personally, look forward to seeing your efforts!

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

The new song was class today! I wonder who came up with that one...
The flags add so much colour as well.
s1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa3 ... pt%202011/
The drumming on Dale Cavese video sounds really good as well. Really chuffed.
Cheers to everyone who held the flags etc. we put on a good display today.

| it's actually very true. Sound bounces off metal very easily, but is absorbed by plastic. It's due to the make up of the material. Think about it, look at an orchestra, the percussion are at the back of the orchestra, but covered have plastic between them and the remainder of the orchestra. As for metal, what material are church bells made out of?

I sit on the half way line. The noise is always louder from the North than it is in the South, even if you can see the majority of the South stand on their feet singing, and only 50 Salford fans in the North. I used to sit in the South and could never understand why my family who were on the half-way line couldn't hear us, because to us in the South, it was absolutely booming.

That youngish lad is actually 20 and is well past his first beer. The langauge and abuse from the Saints fans was quite uncalled for. You need to learn how to accept a win with grace. I appreciate it was the first win against Wigan this season but that is not the behaviour we expect at RL games thankyou.
The woman who was effin and blindin for no reason other than to hurl abuse needs to learn some decent manners. It upset a young supporter who was passing by and ended up in tears.

Completely unrelated incidents.
The 20 year olds reaction was bizzare to say the least, it was just a few saints fans singing 'you light up my senses'.

| Something from today and it's not a criticism just constructive feedback
At times today the atmosphere in the East was a bit flat and only got going when fans recognised songs from the South. I thought at times, songs could of been sung that the majority of fans know to lift the crowd and players.
Just something I spotted anyway, keep up the good work, it looked impressive in the South Stand today though with flags etc!
