if you looked lightweight against THAT Wire pack..then you're in trouble considering who we had missing.

It`s amazing, not a peek out of them after the CC Q/F now all of a sudden they have crawled out from under there stones, anyway the last time they won the league most of them wern`t even born it was that long ago so if they do come top let them all piddle there trousers with excitment as we were told last season by all the trolls it don`t mean diddly squat if you don`t win the G/F.

We didnt look lightweight in the CC when they were playing though did we? Fair enough Morley was out but 2 in 1 out was the difference, we alienated a better pack. We just had an off day and we will be more determined than ever in the play-offs dont you worry
We are not in trouble.

To be fair i dont think it would of made any difference had Westwood and Solomona played. I dont think you missed them at all with the way your pack played.
It reminded me of our Grand Final loss in 2001 (i think) to Bradford. They completely destroyed our forwards that day and when that happens it doesnt matter how good your backs are. I remember Matthew Johns being interviewed when he got home to Australia and he said he had never played against a team who had hit so hard as Bradford did that day. I think the look on Hansens face as he dropped the ball twice tells a similar kind of story about how hard your guys where hitting us in the tackle. Phil Clarke even made a comment on how Hansen knew it was going to hurt if he caught that ball.

AJ Murphy was lacing his boots the last time they were league leaders. Since then they have sat and watched their 3 main rivals (us, Saints and Widnes) win trophy after trophy whilst they won nowt. Please have pity on them.... and see how many respond this time next week.

It's only a few weeks since we did them like kippers in the Cup.Let's not forget that Hansen's the guy who took the hit of all time from Morley last year, and, astonishingly, still retained possession - a feat of heroism which won us the match.
Warrington are certainlly a good side, and worthy of respect. But I doubt anyone at Wigan actually fears them.'"
bear in mind the key players Warrington were missing in that game

| It's really as simple as this. You have a vast majority of players who are world class, a few that could be if they sort out the immature gobery from their game.
Should Warrington beat Hull, you have to beat Saints twice to reach the Gf. On your current form (the last 3 weeks), you wont beat Saints twice.

| I think some Wigan fans might be underestimating Warrington, especially by comparing their end of season performance last year to their potential end of season performance this year. There is one big difference between Warrington last season and Warrington now: they have beaten us. We derailed them in the play offs last year. It was our win over them which meant they had to play Hudds. We always derailed Wire. They don't have that mental block anymore.

Dont think thats a factor at all. They always bottle the big games. Saints have missed Cunningham more than they admit, playing Eastmond out of position or not at all hasnt helped plus injury to Lazy Leon did you no favours and next year you will miss Graham the same way.

As a Wigan fan i agree with your first statement. Some of our fans have got a bit carried away. Theres no doubting that we are a very good team and fully deserved to win the trophys weve won but if im honest i have to admit that i think Warrington on their day with all things being equal have what it takes to beat us. They have a huge rough pack with some pretty big backs behind them and they also have speed and skill. If both teams make it to the Grand Final and both teams put in their best performance then i think Warrington will be too big and strong for us just as they were yesterday.
If we are to beat them then we need all our forwards to be fully fit and on top form and we need to starve them of posession for as long as possible so they have to do alot of defending and are not as energetic with the ball in hand.
