Well I'm feeling confident about our chances. We might have had a disruptive week in terms of celebrating. But everything suggests that Madge will have the lads primed for this one. It's gonna be close, I don't foresee a blow out score for either side that's for sure.

Wire will be favorites for obvious reasons, but this Wigan team has an uncanny ability for grinding out results. We might not win by such big scores or as flamboyantly as other teams, but when when the going get's tough and we need to pull out a win, we usually do.

Ditto from a Wire perspective, we've won many games from behind, we came close against your guys a few weeks ago, its what is very different about Wire this year.
Our lack of Morley, Westwood and Solomona could be the difference. Though out wide in defence is your danger point.
So play it out wide for us and up the middle for you, thats a recipe for a high scoring game I reckon.
I hope Tomkins wears his earmuffs, i think he'll get some.

Not confident about this one at all; weekend of celebration coupled with three or so injuries to key players for us and wire'll throw everything at us and we may just not have enough.

I'm quietly confident about this one, I know it'll be tough as it always is against Wire but I think we may just beat them. Besides were on a roll at the Halliwell Jones, I think were unbeaten there this season and it's become a bit of a second home over the last month or so lol!!

Here's to a cracking match, however, in the long term it wont mean a lot with both teams guaranteed home advantage in the play-offs and we all know Dires play off record!

Some Wire/Wigan fans are very confident and the reason they are is because they are probably optimists
some are weary and the reason they are weary is because they know a couple of decisions the wrong (or right) way can turn this game.

The teams have the beating of each other, some see this as [iwell if we are capable of beating them i think we will[/i that's not being cocky, that's having faith in the team you support.

Tricky have a look at your 1st Catalan thread this season, i bet most of you thought [iwell we just have to turn up, 2 points in the bag[/i as i no doubt think some Wire fans did the week before.

I believe we can win every match this season BUT this is different to saying we WILL win every match.

I hope the players heads are more focussed on this then my own. I've not given it too much thought away from this forum and that's crazy considering how big a game it is. I've been reading the reports from Satirday and watching the replays with a smile on my face.

After winning that one I'm half tempted to say we should play the reserves, rest up and let them have the shield as unlike the cup or Grand Final it means very little but pride is at stake so I'm sure I'll get my head right come the weekend.

Thankfully I'm sure Maguire and the players are professionals and will be focussed enough to give it a real go.
