Yes i know the ball played Burrows. Then it came off Charnley anyway. Even the MOST hardent Wigan fan can't deny they got a lot from the officials today

I thought Burrow played for it, and it went on to hit Charnley before going off.
If Burrow did not play for it then it makes no difference anyway - the ball plays Burrow, then plays Charnley, then goes off...remember it was a 40/20, so put-in to Wigan.

Should of been a penalty to Wigan. Burrows tackled Charnley without the ball

| Of course, no-one mentions the wrong decisions in the first half that went Leeds way... or indeed Ryan Hall's second "try". Never grounded in a million years, yet they have the audacity to only give "Benefit of the Doubt" to Tommy's try?
The only thing I will say is the forward pass to Lima should have been picked up. I think that almost makes us even.

| Both Ryan Halls trys were forward but no one seems to have noticed.
I also thought that Bentham never once pegged Leeds for offside all the match. Leeds are not that fast.
The Lima try was slightly forward but Leeds should have tackled him. They had 2 forwards who missed the tackle completely.
Wigan were very under par today. The pack lacked some go forward IMHO.

I also question whether Hall got the ball down for his try. Looked to me like Charnley had his forearm underneath it and then he rolled him into touch.

| Quote: Bull Mania "Disgraceful officiating. Don't know how Bentham got the gig in the first place. Reffing a final usually easy job. But he was hopeless. It's already been said about a 1000 times about the TJ's. How Hicks can get a decision so wrong when he's a metre away from it is laugable. And him & Childs are full time refs!! Wigan were very very lucky today.'"
Seriously, your either extremely childish or just plain stupid.
I'm sure you couldn't do any better at officiating but if you think you can I look forward to seeing you have a go.
Refereeing a final is not an easy job at all. Bentham had a good game and could not be held responsible for the Finch 40/20 call. That was primarily a touch judge call.
Whether he got it right or wrong doesn't matter now. Everyone makes mistakes and bad calls - they are only human. There were also a couple of calls that went against Wigan but half of this forum are too busy in the pub to bother moaning

| BJB try looked a forward pass to me, I was sat directly in front of it.
Edit: Might have been a try for Hall, i just remember a forward pass to BJB.
There were dodgy decisions both ways, it just happened that the ones everyone will remember went our way. (For once...)

| Yes, a few dubious decisions went our way today. However we can all remember Saints winning Wembley finals with "Dan Marino" style passes, dodgy 50/50 calls over the years.
It's in the history books now though.

| No-one seems to mention that we got to the final the hard way...Beating Warrington a very good side (some comments tonight make me not want to say that..) and not a vintage saints side but a side that would still beat many other SL teams, We've had some scrappy games this season but also demolished some top sides. We get the rub of the green for once and somehow we dont deserve the victory...take your head out your backsides when watching any rugby league game...Most wigan fans will admit we've got away with some forward pass..but what team hasnt??? Great respect for the people that understand we got some of the decisions our way but so do many other teams as for the rest..wake up. and to be fair, the pass to lima was nowhere near as bad as some of the ones that have not been seen in many games this year.

| Well done to the officials? What planet are you on?
There were Leeds forward passes that were also missed.
There were a few unpleasant incidents where Leeds players used their knees on tackled Wigan players, which went unpunished.
Leeds players came into the tackle too late on many occasions, but the referee did not penalise this.
I suggest the Wigan haters watch the game again this time with their brains engaged and they will see there were lots of errors in Leeds' favour also
