There was no intent, just a little high in the tackle, nothing malicious at all, Sykes is not that sort of player.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

Commented on how Sam fell to the floor as if he had been shot. To be fair to Sam he got right back up after the tackle and didn't try to milk it. So I dont know what Thaler was on about.
Apart from that though I thought the ref had a good game yesterday, showed some pace to keep up with Charnley in his 2nd try and even got stuck in to split up Hock and Elima

| Quote: Vectrabeast "The Bradford fans were a disgrace (all 33 of them!) to jump around and applaud a high tackle is a disgrace although its something I have come to expect from all the sheep botherers! Plus its just more and more confirmation just how much these teams fear Sam
I seem to remember a few bugs crawled out of their woodwork back when they were Grand Finalists as well.
The second year they beat us at OT, my wife and I were on a tram afterwards with a shed-load of them and - to my surprise actually - they were far and away the most loutish, ignorant and intimidating bunch of RL fans I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. The bad old days at Leigh and Warrington had nothing on that bunch. Thanks to that experience, I feel no regret whatsoever that they've slipped to oblivion.

Just emphasises what a sad club the self proclaimed "Peoples Club" have become. No wonder they can't attract a half decent crowd to the Landfill stadium

What i really want to know what was said on the half way line right before it?
The ref said 'It come off the shoulder, but i dont like the conversation at the half way line then we get that then first run''"
O'Loughlins was worse.

| Not much in it for me!
Hit ball/shoulder and went up! Looked worse because Sam and Sykes were at full pelt. Penalty given and ref got it right no need for a card, would be suprised if he was banned. Slow mo made it look worse
Has for the Fans clapping and cheering, well thats upto them they didnt really have much to cheer!

Yeah because they were literally giving your season tickets away in cereal boxes! Lets see what you're attendances are like when they are full price like the majority of Super League.

Wasn't even a high tackle, looked bad when I first seen it but he clearly got Sam on the shoulder.

Yes, that's exactly what he did. I appreciate that you, understandably, probably haven't watched it back - but I have.
Quote: bigchris "You mean after he milked it, even the ref said to him that he had gone down like he had been shot.'"
He didn't milk it - see above.
I couldn't believe that Thaler actually said that when I watched it back. Completely inaccurate, and not a little out of order.
Quote: bigchris "Tackle started at chest height but did go high, you see much worse every game but a penalty was a fair call.'"
Chest? Try shoulder. On balance I agree that a penalty was a fair call though.

33718_1325770967.jpg Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

Its a good job no-one has statistics on average away attendances then isn't it ? cos then, you'd be bottom.
