This will be the 15th time I've been to Wembley to see Wigan play (obviously not counting the two other finals, Murrayfield and Cardiff).
It worries me a bit when I say that. But the cool thing is the experience never wanes.

Will be my 11th time going, but first to new Wembley. Going to see if my 1985 jersey still fits, though I think my shoulders and deffo my beer gut are a lot bigger than when I was 14!
Buzzing like the first time I went.

I think it's my 15th, too, first trip was in '65, and haven't missed a Wigan game there since. |

I'm not a fan of the new Wembley if I'm honest. Been three times for the NFL and I've come away underwhelmed each time.
That said of course I'll be going.

You'll have a great time. Wembley Ibis is in a belting spot. Pub called the greyhound(I think) generates a great atmosphere.

Went last season for the first time and watched the Wire/Leeds final with the Pem Warrior himself.
as soon as i went up the steps to my seat i was overwhelmed and thought ''i want to come here with the Wigan.''
Been wishing for it all this season.. and im now 3 weeks away.. get in!

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

As a facility and nothing else, Wembley is the best stadium in the world.
For everything else it is rubbish. No atmosphere (hopefully us Brigantes will sort this out). No atmosphere outside the stadium anymore. |
