It was a professional foul and he should have had 10 minutes in the bin to ponder his actions, but with the Halibut you never know which way he is going to call it.
I noted stompkins was up to his usual when he milked the penalty by rolling back over on Buderus and his girly kick to touch at the very end of the match when his manager was screaming for the 2 points.
Perhaps he knew that retribution was only 10 yards away. Ah well, yesterday's news....roll on the next time!

| The awful level of travelling support is just part of a wider problem in the game. Aside from a very small number of clubs who do have a good away following (to be fair, Warrington and Saints are amongst them) the level of away support in RL is poor and if anything seems to be declining.
Back to Leeds specifically though, their travelling support is an embarrassment to a club whose fans laughably claim it is the biggest in the game. I was at Sheffield Eagles v Leigh a few weeks ago and Leigh brought more fans to that game than Leeds did last night. It was an astonishingly poor turnout.

| Awful support from Leeds. A plastic little club with woeful support. That was Crusaders-esque support last night from them men.
They are about to fall into that category of clubs who we don't bother to open the North Stand for (Catalans, Quins & Crusaders)

| The m62 west-bound was one long traffic jam from Leeds to past Manchester yesterday around 5 o'clock. If you choose to play on a Friday evening do not expect large away followings to come from the other side of the Pennines, especially when the game is on tv.

Yet more Wigan fans, and Wire fans would have made the opposite journey at the same time and with the game on TV. We have all been stuck in traffic on the M62 on a Friday and still turned out in decent numbers, so I don't really see your point.

| The nightmare M62 excuse is exactly that. I've been travelling over to Yorkshire at least once or twice a month watching Wigan for 15+ years now and I think we've missed the kick off once(which was at Leeds and more to do with the traffic around the ground).
It's not like we leave too early either. If were at Leeds on a Friday night we tend to go after work around 5.45-6pm.
No excuses for that following last night although fair play to the ones that bothered. They're not the issue in all this the same as the Giants fans that travelled last week weren't.

Warrington looked to have a decent following over at Castleford last night
In fact Warrington, Wigan, Saints, Hull dont seem to have the same problems that Leeds fans do

And when Warrington have been playing rubbish (33 of the past 35 years) I've been part of the 200 who travelled across to Hull on a Friday night.
"Ultras" will traval come what may however for a more "casual" fan a Friday evening on the M62 is not appealing. There can be no doubt that if played on a Sunday afternoon then the away support would be better.

| Both Hull clubs bring more than the West Yorkshire lot.
Leeds, Bradford & Hudds have poor away support over here.
I would imagine the good people of Hull use the M62?

29281_1270406980.jpg When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...
20th: Wigan
The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_29281.jpg |

| On the flip side I thought our fans were terrific last night. Great atmosphere from the 3 Wigan stands(even incl some hand clapping from from the library that is West). I think only the Good Friday game this year comes close.
Maybe its due to the growing dislike/hatred of the once great Weeds club/team and its embarrasing support?
