It was clearly out by around a meter, I just dont understand how the touch judge didnt see it? Its one of the easiest decisions he had to make all match and he f*cked it up and that was the point where the game turned in Cas' favour IMO. Was the TJ just not looking or did he think it was a penalty kick? Either way he should get a right hammering from his boss for it but we all know it wont even be acknowledged.

I'd be more annoyed at the Arundel try that clearly wasn't grounded!! The Wigan players had a set to defend after the error by the touch judge, it didn't directly lead to Cas scoring points unlike the Arundel try.

It was the same bloke who incorrectly said a Leeds player was in touch last week. Today's was a shocking decision, it wasn't even close. Think he'll be Touch Judging in Super League next week? Of course he will - there is absolutely no accountability for any of the match officials.
Having said that, I don't think that Wigan were robbed. They got the rub of all the 50/50s in the first half and, for once, were on the good side of one of the most frustratingly inconsistent refs in SL. Just watched the Diskin interview at the end of the Bratfut-Sts game. He's spot on about the officials having too much influence in games. |
