Agreed.
Both were tremendous again.

| Quote: NickyKiss "He was very good today and it was his best performance in a Wigan shirt. He controlled the game and led us around the field with a classy passing and kicking display. He also defended very strongly and looks to be getting his match fitness.
I still heard some clueless bafoons criticising him throughout the game though. How dare the lad try a grubber and chase into the ingoal on the last tackle. As some dear old lady pointed out near me 'all he does is play for himself'.......... Yeah right!'"
Should hear these new fans behind me in the East Stand. They spend the whole game moaning about players (usually the wrong player eg a moan about Mossop when he wasnt even on the pitch!)
They go on and on about how rubbish finch is how little he does blah blah blah and then he did something brilliant, not a try, but a brilliant run and pass that set one up and they start going on (and not a hint of sarcasm from them whatsoever) about how good Finch is and how theyre happy we signed him.
I wish I had back the guy who used to sit there that used to shout "hallelujah hallelujah" the first time we got a penalty even if the ref had actually been fair haha

| Was superb today. Started the move all himself for the Joel try when he spotted the gap on the blindside to send Mossop 30-40 yards rather than come inside and make 5. Two quick play the balls later and Joel scores.

What a boost it would be if we could keep both of those on. The more I watch us this year the more I think those 2 along with Richards are really the players we must get to stay. I said a few weeks ago I thought Deacon and Coley were players we could do with staying on but with Finch now finding his feet and Prescott and Mossop continuing to improve at a fast pace I'm not too sure.
I'd love to see all 5 stay but if we could only choose 3 it would be Pat, Carmont and Hoffman at the moment.

| Finch is steadily improving again.
I still believe he isnt at full fitness, but he directed us round the pitch well and seemed to be enjoying himself today which is what we need. He and Lima were having banter with the fans aswel - if we can get him settled of the pitch and make him feel at ease - the rest will follow.

| After not playing since Sept & having his pre season cut short with a bad injury I'm more than happy with how Finch has progressed.
He's got better week after week and I'm sure he'll get even better.
I'll go on record by saying I'm happy with how all the new lads have been.

I think we have to expect almost all our players to be linked with Souths in the coming months, although I'd expect Finch will be one of the most likely to go back to Oz if the rumours of him not settling are true.

| Finch "haters"?
Bit strong isn't it? I can't remember seeing any posts on here that suggest that they "hate" Finch?

| Maybe a lot of people haven't seen Finch player before. I've been watching him in the NRL for years, he's a class act, great reader of the game, and kick but more importantly talks to the team and runs the show like any good 7. And he's workrate in def is excellent.
Finch came off the back of a major injury and put directly into a team he's never played in before! I think he's doing very well and will be a fan favourite in time.

| I wouldn't have said he was fantastic yesterday, but he has improved. His kicking game was very good.
I can certainly see potential, but some of his passing is still slightly mistimed and he is often choosing the wrong option.
It'll be typical that when he is up to speed, he ends of sodding off back the NRL.

We will need to have him next season after having had a full pre-season under his belt. He will probably leave though.
