Yeah worth a try why not. If Finch cant have a good game against Wakey then its got to be a taxi for him, sorry.

| I personally think we should utilise two or three of Tuson, Goulding, Marsh and Roberts for a game with such a short turnaround.

With the way that Maguire operates I can certainly see Charnley being dropped after being all at sea for 2 tries. I would also like to see Roberts get a game at full back too if he is fit again as I am still far from convinced about Sam there.'"
Harsh on Josh - he was outnumbered on both occasions, and had no real choice but to go for that intercept for the first one.

| Sam (why Amos? He's not proved hes worth-not good enough)
Charnley (need more game time at 1st grade to improve)
Tomkins (needs more game time at centre)
Carmont
Richards (needs more game time as he's only recently back from a big injury)
Deacon
Finch (just about getting into it. Needs more game time)
Lima
Tommy (needs more game time as a 9)
Coley
Hoffman
Faz (looks great so far. Deserves more minutes)
Lockers
-------------
Prescott
Mossop
Hansen (needs to step up as comp for positions increases)
Logan Tomkins (sooner see him debut against one of the weaker SL teams. McM took a few knocks v saints-could do with a rest. Also I'd like to see how Tomkins performs at first grade)

Just remind us again how many key players did Saints have missing in last years grand final ?
When did you actually last beat a strong Saints or Warringtom team ? Don't include beating us last year at the HJ, we had a lead of around 14pts and were cruising then we lost both Briers and Monaghan, another example of Wigan capitalising on other teams misfortunes.[/quote:qtnftxzx]

| Does anyone else think that the win on friday, may have taken its toll on the players, given that they're playing two games in the space of four days?.
They should be able to cope, but as others have said, a few were looking tired towards the end. Maybe they should be rested and the likes of Logan Tomkins given a shot.
Also, wakeys win against cas will give them a massive confidence boost. This games going to be tough.

No, all of the Wakey players have had a game of high intensity on Friday and i expect our players to be in better condition than them due to our coaching staff and specifically Mark Bitcom.

Why, have you developed some new technology that regenerates players more quickly. I have no doubt Mark Bitcom does a great job but to claim he is better than any of the others is utterly ludicrous. Wigan appear to me to be a very good team, yet I see no obvious example that they are any better prepared physically than anyone else. Your is one of the oddest claims I've ever read, still we'll see on monday.

| it was wigans' first game in the heat of the day this season so i'd imagine thats why we looked a little boshed towards the end - it was a pulsating game so lets give them some credit to both sides' players!
we should stick with as close the same side as possible and take a fresh young bench IMO. if the game looks good for a win then rest the regulars hope and when we can towards the end of the game. we came away from the derby with only one slight injury concern in McIlorum so i believe, so we look in good shape. we should be able to take them.
lets not forget its Mr Kear, the players have a lesson to teach him about keeping his gob shut

| We've seen a major improvement in the last year or so since Bitcom and Madge came to the club in our conditioning. The pre-seasons that they players have been put through has been harder and more rewarding than any of them have experienced before, thats including players who are experienced and are in great shape normally anyway ie. Fielden. I'd have a pretty good geuss that Wigans facilities are better than Wakefields which will help.
Even so i was making the point that Wigan playing on Friday shouldnt have any effect on the game or hand any advantage to wakefield as they to played a game of high intensity.

I dont think it is. He made a complete mess of the first one and if he had took the ball or man there would have been no try but he did neither. On the second he was far too much inside and gave himself far too much to do. If Roberts, Goulding or Pryce had messed up for 2 tries in the same fashion then they would have been slated and would have had individual threads slagging them off.

Nah, our game was not as high in intensity - Cas were far easier to beat than I expected - we didn't have to play especially well.
