You mean the penalty that was given on the basis of...
a) 2 on 1 strip?
b) Carmont standing in offside position when receiving the ball from aforementioned strip?
Yeah, quite ridiculous.

| Quote: Phil-P "As for forward passes it's not very often I agree with Stevo however he hit the nail on the head with his comments. They are becoming a regular occurance that for some reason are being blatantly ignored by linesmen and referees.'"
Stevenson and Hemmings are very selective on who they comment about with forward passes. they are hypocrites.
As per usual Saints had 2 today, but they never mentioned those. They didn't shut up for 5 minutes with the J Tomkins marginal forward pass.
I have noticed that as with the match the other night, Leeds got away with forward passes and score and so did Saints today.
The two clowns that are the SKY commentators saw nothing.

Nah. Badly judged offload - be fair, you got away with two or three of those today - Wiganer took possession. Bad call by ref. Justice done in end. No worries.

Sour grapes. We have beaten you with a team of kids in the past.
Had the ref in your pocket all game.
Get used to it.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Stains have won numerous finals from forward passes (Hudds CC Final anyone)? plus other dodgy decisions - Joynt voluntary tackle.
Ave it!!!

| Quote: Phil-P "Sure are - but why?
and what do linesmen actually do? Are they not capable of spotting a forward pass? Years ago there'd be one or two forward passes missed a season - these days there's two or three a game. The game is no quicker than it was in the 90's pre super league so there's a no excuse.
We can rattle on all day about what missed forward cancels out which however I'd much rather see a team score legally than a team benefiting from a pass that was a miles forward. It makes the game look amatureish in all honesty.'"
Why ... because teams play flat attacking lines which makes forward passes much more likely
I agree about a preference about legal tries winning games but I live in a world of reality and accept calls do tend to even themselves out during a season, hence the reference to the Saints Cardiff try .... some Saints fans really do need to wake up and understand these calls go both ways in sport!

We had a good youth team out in 2003 and look what happened after that.

| Quote: Phil-P "In all honesty Saints should have run the ball here - Wigan on the back foot and looking out of it - didn't take full advantage of the favourable decision.
But yeh I think Silverwood had a great game tbh - let the game flow, ignored any whingeing or moaning from the players and both sides responded by playing good rugby league.'"
your right mate.....if they had run it we were all over the place and they would have scored.
there was a sense of relief round the ground when they went for 2 , knowing we would still get a couple of sets and be 2 behind, not 6.
