unfortunately its not even close,
for the JPS final at Burnden park around 1987'ish myself and a couple of mates went to this final on the coach organised by a local pub.
before the coach left, one lad was carefully preparing his banner (25 years ahead of you men so give him credit for that).
yellow and blue spray paint, them fancy lightning strikes to symbolise elctricity (" Wires " see give him credit again)
unfortunately he ommitted a couple of letters and to much merryment in the pub he hadnt managed to spell
"Wires electrocute Wigan"
Instead it read "Wires elecute Wigan"
he didnt take it .... but I thought it still had a ring of truth to it |
